I have a sick feeling everytime I think about the Murray-Dyson trade.

I wasn't 100 percent against it but I had my reservations due to Klutch and Dyson's projected growth.

It's early but so far I wouldn't make the trade if I could go back in time.

The trade wasn’t horrible. But like I said, I wanted Trae and would have been willing to give up DD for him.

For Murray, it would have to be BI only or maybe a few other assets.

Trey Murphy whining that a young player is holding him during practice pretty much sums up this pels team. Soft physically and mentally. Trey is a good example. He’s making $30 mil a year, not a leader, not a ball handler, not that good at defense, not that good at rebounding and not that good at scoring around the basket.

That pod showed me he has no pride in this organization, no dawg in him, and no leadership traits

Dyson’s grammar is as sharp as his observation…

Dyson didn't type that out. I also don't think he's wrong. Is there a softer player in NBA history than Zion? That's who our roster is built around.

Here's some food for thought:

Would GMs rather have Dyson or Trey?

He had a lot more to say

quote:

Dyson Daniels says the New Orleans Pelicans are “cursed,” and he’s glad he’s no longer playing there ?? “That organization's cursed. Every year there's something new. I’m happy I’m not there anymore…I had like four or five ankle injuries down there as well. There's something down in that water down there or something. They got hamstrings. They got knees. They got concussions and stuff as well. They get everything down there. I don’t know what it is. Playing hard I guess?”

I was told on here Trey was worth infinitely more than Herb to gms over the offseason. Now we debating DD vs Trey?

Yeah I saw that earlier. Dyson is really tempting the injury Gods.

to me it’s still Trey. Guys are gonna sag off Dyson when he’s on the perimeter if ATL makes the playoffs. Trey as a threat from 3 generates space for the star(s). It’s the same issue with both Herb and Dyson

I swear to God Benson made a deal with the devil to get the saints a super bowl.

And we'll be paying it off the rest of our goddamn lives

Really wish the Hawks actually wanted BI. Not saying we shouldn't but it definitely would have made things easier.

The hypothetical that may have been thought/ talked about was probably
Dyson + (2) 1st
or
Herb + (1) 1st

My biggest issue here is you simply shouldn't draft a teenager if you aren't planning on seeing atleast their rookie contract through. Regardless of any "real stat comparisons" there is only so much growth you can get from a 23 y/o vs a 18-19 y/o that show similar abilities. Of course you have a few outliers but it is not a wise move as a whole.
