Nance does literally nothing well. He’s so washed it pisses me off to see him on the floor

Dyson and Nance weren't great, but they weren't the main reasons we lost. Those were:

1) We're missing most of our 3-pt shooting: CJ, Trey, and Ryan.

2) We're missing CJ's playmaking.

3) Zion didn't play.

4) Foul trouble (doesn't matter whether you blame Herb or the refs) meant that Herb only played 25 minutes.

5) No one else had a really good night. BI shot 10-22 from the field, JV was 3-10, Naji was 2-6, Jose was 5-11, and even Hawk was only 8-17. The only people who shot above 50% were Herb and Cody, and they were only a combined 8-13. Dyson was really bad, but most of the other guys were only OK.

6) We shot 61% from the FT line. In particular, BI was only 5-8 and Jonas was 2-4. We left the winning points at the FT line.

7) And, obviously, we were tired because of the B2B, and our injuries meant that we have a lack of depth at the moment, so our guys had dead legs by the end of the game.

I was more mad about the wide open left handed layup Dyson smoked than the 3s. Sometimes your shot just doesn’t fall. But at least Dyson played some elite defense to counteract the terrible offense. Larry Nance is useless and has no strength on the basketball court

I’d consider Dyson as Zion’s backup when the team is healthy with secondary ball handling. Larry has no lift or movement, critical to an undersized 5, don’t know what the Pels will do there. Zeller plays like he needs more minutes.

I know trades don’t typically happen until the midway point of the season but my lord we need another big on the team. How did the Grizzlies get Biyombo for free? Our backup C is a 6’9 statue who contributes nothing. Zeller is honestly not bad but damn our big depth is so bad. Maybe Trey helps a little since he’s around 6’10

Dyson can't carry an offensive load yet. Give it a few years and he might.

You have 3 20+ scorers (zion, Ingram, and Cj), 1 guy who should hit 15+ (trey), 2 guys who should hit 10+ (jv, hawkins) and a trio of guys who should total about 15 (Dyson, Jose, herb).

Without zion, Cj, and trey - asking guys to make up 50+ pts is hard.

Don't disagree, but he can't right now. His defense, however, is a super valuable piece for the Pels. To my point, Pels are so thin in the front court, and with Dyson being a good rebounder it seems a better fit for his current skill set and gets him on the court to help some team needs.

It’s amazing that someone thinks a player who is elite (not just good) at defense will be “nailed to the bench come playoff time.”

Just checking in to say that Dyson still thinking he can get by with finger rolls at the basket piss me off to no end.

His tear drop looks pretty good though but I agree he needs to start dunking at the rim.

for a guy that is 6'7 I really dont understand why he doesn't just dunk the ball sometimes

He should be dunking the ball all the time when he has a lane. The finger roll's use in the NBA is almost 0, you can count on one hand the amount of scenarios where it is the correct option for finishing at the rim. More times than not, it's just going to get swatted away.

I have zero issues with his tear drop.
