Do we have an idea on when Q-Pon could possibly be back?

Is there anything semi-concrete out there to have hope that he will participate in training camp?

He's done---don't know why we are hanging on to him. Dude hasn't played in two years.

As soon as someone figures out the whole reanimation thing. QPon is dead, bro.

I'm assuming he's done. 3 knee surgeries and hasn't played in 2 years. It really sucks considering he sacrificed himself to get the team to the playoffs.

It's just weird that we haven't heard really much of anything about the injury other than that he has had 3 surgeries... but he is flying with the team, so it can't be that bad at this point.

He was reportedly to the point where he just needed to get his leg stronger. Several months later he has his 3rd surgery. At this point he's a contract that insurance will pay so it should help with offseason moves. If he has any coaching or FO ambitions hopefully they'll keep him around.

Maybe so, but it's just weird that no one has really asked Gentry/Dell about this.

There's not much to say because nobody knows what's going to happen. David Wesley made a comment a few weeks ago how earlier in the year QPon told him he was almost ready to go, and then not too long after that we hear he's having his 3rd surgery.

I don't think QPon's contract is insured. He wasn't a top 5 contract when he got injured.

You're probably right, that just makes him a typical expiring. If he does a medical retirement the Pels could file to have his salary excluded but it looks like that doesn't transfer with a trade.

Thetre are rumors that he's sort of a head case when it comes to his "injury".

He told me personally at Toast for the Coast that he will be 100% ready for training camp.

He's done. Way done. Should retire along with his boy Asik.

Q-Pon will never suit up for the pelicans again. Dude has basically been getting paid the last 2 years to sit on the bench in a suit and high 5 the guys coming off the court.

He was a below average starter and decent bench player before missing 2 seasons due to injury.
The only upside for the Pels with Q-Pon is that he is still probably better than Solomon hill. But he is not gonna help the team win games next year; they need to look elsewhere.

Someone didn't pay attention to the team very long.

Please elaborate. I honeslty do not know what you are disagreeing with.

If you are trying to say I haven't paid attention to the pelicans/hornets very long; you are wrong.

You are not going to be able to provide stats to show that Q-Pon is even close to the player fans give him credit for.

His limited stats in the playoffs are not better than his pedestrian regular stats so theres no intangible value there.

And he hasn't played since the 2014-15 season.
