Would you rather Jennings for part of the MLE or Crawford on a minimum next year? I hope Crawford can keep it up.
The chances he's figured something out, approaching 30, are really slim. In my mind going going from 40/30 in the nba to 47/35 in the d league is basically what you'd expect.

Sure, he's not perfect, he's been an inefficient scorer in the past, but at least he's assertive; he takes action when the other players like hill and cunningham seem to only be able to react.

You really gonna fall for this? 1 random game? Man, everybody's numbers look amazing in the d league. Dude's put up Steph splits in the d league
Y'all amaze me, we finally have someone knock down shots confidently and y'all still down them, are y'all really fans or critics? Maybe we should wait til Hollis Thomas catch fire cuz I ain't seen a 3 go in yet and he definitely lacks confidence, I know it's only one game but damnnnn be happy, don't sit back and wait for him to mess up, y'all would be horrible coaches

This has been Crawford his whole career tho... Good games with a batch of horrid.
He is our 2nd best guard, but that's not saying much

Being completely honest, he's probably better than everyone except the ones you named and Etwaan Moore. Other than that... this team is trash.
Can someone explain to me why we cut Terrance Jones instead of D-Mo or Ajinca? (Seriously, I need the explanation I don't know).

They are right to be critics though. He failed out of the league for a reason. Most guys that get a 2nd chance in the NBA look like Ajinca and Luke Babbitt, not Hassan Whiteside.
Even if he's on the team next season, he's not going to be great. But considering how bad our guard depth is he's a welcome addition. I also wouldn't expect him to score this well most of the time. His 3 assists are what caught my attention though. He also had another where he gave Ajinca the ball in perfect position to do something with it and Ajinca fumbled it out of bounds. An irrational confidence guy that also looks to pass and can be had for the minimum, once they dump some contracts I'd spend a roster spot on that.

Not to be a critic or a hater, but I was at that game last night and every player was dog tired. The only one on Utah with any kind of energy was Neto. You had 9 guys on the court going at half speed and then Crawford, shot up on adrenaline, going 120%
If he has a game even half as good as that one again, I will take him seriously. But I know what I saw last night and I don't expect anything close to that again from him

Terrence Jones asked to be traded because he's in a contract year and knew his minutes and would get cut staying here now that they have Cousins. He also wasn't likely to be resigned by the Pels and shares an agent with Cousins who the team will have to negotiate with in another year, so there was no benefit to holding him here against his will.
Cutting Ajinca isn't an option because he has several more years left on his contract.

I can see Crawford finding a way to score buckets for us, if we give him the green light to go for it. Im just not counting on him being a good shooter
I'm still disappointed Anthony Brown didn't work out and kind of wish we'd given him a longer look. On paper, he seemed to have almost everything you'd want in a 3 and D wing. He just gets in big league games and can't throw the ball in the ocean.
He's back in the d league shooting 47% from 3 and is 43% for his career.
I'd still like to see him in Hill's spot taking all those wide open corner 3s Cousins/Davis have been getting him

We could definitely use Jones right about now. He'd still get a lot of shots and minutes as the 3rd big.
He can generate some offense when needed, unfortunate he wouldn't give it a few games before he asked to be cut.

26.3% from 3 for Hollis Thompson vs. 25% for Brown. Poking around the players with the most corner 3 makes, LINK if you could keep Cunningham in the right corner (50%) and put Brandon Rush in the left corner (55.6%), you might be able to get some defenders out of the lane or make them pay if they don't.

Corner 3s are good for points, but I don't know that they are as good for spacing as wing 3s. They are an easier shot because they are closer, but the defender is also closer to the lane and gets automatic help from the baseline. This allows them to more easily squeeze down on a big on the low block and take away the baseline pivot.
Cunningham has actually been pretty good this year at using his corner 3 ability to open some baseline dunks on the recovery. It's definitely beneficial to the team, but I'm not sure you can just add more corner shooters. That's almost a niche role.

Only reason I still hold out some hope for a guy like Brown is just his age and him having way less NBA minutes to prove himself. You'd think shooting would be the easiest thing to translate from the dleague to the nba. Just hasn't happened for him.

Crawford!!!
This is the kind of guy we need....
Sorry I just got excited about somebody hitting 3s and scoring.
Based on what I have seen from Gentry I am thinking he will bench Crawford for the next 2 games and play Thomas.

I agree. But what if? Many people didn't think Danny green would become what he is today (credit popavich) the main thing I noticed about Crawford is confidence. That's a start

Has Jennings value dropped that much, that he could be signed for part of the MLE this off-season?
