Assuming no update means they're waiting on imagery, which probably isn't the best sign..

I'm going to guess that he'll be out multiple weeks. Even if it isn't severe, you know our medical staff is going to be super cautious, esp with a hamstring.

He’ll be out until after the all star break. BI will return and we will keep winning to at least stay in striking distance, then Zion will be back for a playoff push.

I just hope we can get 10-15 games before playoffs with our big 3 healthy and together!

With a hamstring strain? Even with our medical staff that would be extreme.

Not necessarily. All star break is 6-7 weeks away. 6 weeks to rehab a Hamstring strain is very realistic. And if it takes that long, they’ll be extra cautious and give it the extra time through the break IMO

Depends on severity. I think at best he missed a week or two.

He walked to the locker room without a limp. That indicates a mild sprain that would keep most players out a week or two. With our staff and how they treat Zion, I'd put the betting line at three weeks.

Depends on the severity…grade 1 could be a few days to a week, grade two is usually 3-8 weeks, and grade 3 could require surgery and you are looking at 6-18 months. Fingers crossed it was mild and he can get back quickly.

Assuming the imaging comes back clean-ish, he'll want to push it to try and earn those contract incentives.. then we'll see what happens when Nelson wants to wrap him in bubble wrap again

This would be a first for Zion.

Even though I shouldn't have, I laughed.

Got to laugh to keep from crying. I’ll tentatively scratch Zion for the upcoming road trip (Jan 7- Jan 22). Hopefully he’s good to go by Jan 24th and we have a full roster heading into the All-Star intermission period.

No way it was grade 3.

Hamstring injuries are tough and I can’t tell you how bad it was solely based on his gait. As a physical therapist though, I can tell you that thinking a Hamstring injury only keeps him out a week or 2 is wishful thinking at best especially for a guy at his size who means so much to this team. Bring him back one day too soon and now you’ve lost him for 8 weeks. They are going to avoid that at all cost.
