Did anyone ask Willie why he wouldn’t play Jonas after the game?

He needs to be asked that question time and time again until he can actually give a legit answer. If he didn’t see how much better we were with him in there beating up on AD then he deserves to lose his job. A blind man could see that pussy hates physicality and being manhandled down low yet we let him off by having him dunk over 6’7” 230 Larry Nance all day.

AD and Bron cook Jonas. Now when AD is out it should be Jonas time for sure

The same Jonas who was -10 and had four turnovers in 7 minutes? I’m pretty sure Willie wasn’t sweating that question yesterday.

And Larry was any better? All things equal give me JV. At least actually has an offensive game to maybe draw fouls on AD and put him on the bench. If you can’t get up for this next game though after how the Lakers have made them their bitch then it’s all over with regardless. I want to see fight from our team, we just rolled over yesterday.

Larry was +0 in 30 minutes and turned the ball over once. I’d say that’s objectively better than -10 in 7 minutes with four turnovers, but to each his own.

Nance gives zero on offense and not much rebounding. Val can give you offense and rebounding.

This isn't or shouldn't be difficult.

We are and have been for quite some time now at a point where there are no matchups where Nance is the better play than Val. It's always and should always be Val over Nance at this point with the way Nance has consistently played in recent months.

7 minutes though. Give the guy more than 7 fricking minutes spaced out over a 3 minute run in the 1st half and a 4 minute in the 2nd. Hard to get going when you get the hook that fast. I do remember AD picking up 2 quick fouls when Jonas was in there in the 2nd half though. He hates physicality is my point. That is Jonas’ calling card. Give him at least 20-25 minutes to beat up on that pussy then being Larry in if you want.

I keep hearing they are worried about defense in the pick and roll.

How in gods name could the defense be worse than with Nance in the game? The lakers may have set a record for dunks last night.

Yep, that's what I don't get.

Who is watching these games and thinking Nance is wrecking shite on defense?

Is he some degree better than Val on D, sure. Does that degree override the massive difference Val provides on offense and rebounding? Certainly not.

Nance at his best can be argued to get the minutes he's been getting since the break. This version of Nance, there is no logical argument for him to be getting 30+ minutes and Val playing 3 minutes in pivotal games. It just doesn't make sense.

When Zeller came in I was just 100% convinced JV was hurt. Then all of a sudden late in the game when it's out of reach JV pops in.

Even if you're going to give Nance more minutes, which I disagree with, I semi get it because the Lakers always cook JV. But I have no idea why Zeller is the first big off the bench. Is JV really string center now?

I would love to be a fly on the wall when JV gets home and starts cussing out Willie in Lituanian to his wife. JV says the right things but no doubt this has created a major issue between them.

I still we can convince him to come back but I wouldn’t blame him if he told the Pels to frick off. The one guy that is always on the court 100% of the time and Willie treats him like the plague even when Jonas is having a good game it’s like Willie can’t wait to yank him for little Larry. If you wanted a backup big man that can be athletic and run the floor as well as rim protect then why let Jaxon Hayes walk in the off-season. He’s having a good year as the primary backup to AD at the 5 averaging 8 pts 4 reb and a block per game.

I'm one of the biggest Van fans on this board, but why would we even want him back at this point?

Pay him $10 mil a year for what...to play 7 minutes?

Eh, hes playing next to AD and Lebron. Jaxson needed to go. He was never gonna turn the corner here.

Because he's an awful basketball player and is not actually having a good year with the Lakers and is not a good rim protector.

Lakers fans have hated him all season, just like we did. He's not good at basketball.

Also, Jaxson Hayes is not averaging 8 and 4 with a block. He's averagingg 4ppg and 3 rebounds with 0.4 blocks.

He also has a large negative net rating, and is now negative for the 4th time in 5 seasons.

Pels have too many guards...

Need to move on from

Zion
Jonas
Zeller
Nance

and get a real big down low that can stretch the floor and protect the rim.

Zion sold enough tickets, now move him and try to actually win when it counts

Jonas had 3 fouls and 4 turnovers in his 4 minutes in the second half.
