Diamond could drop the Pels, Mavs, Griz, Thunder, and Pistons before the season starts.

I imagine the OTA broadcasts weren't just a public service but a test run for just this situation. The Pels averaged around a 6.5 rating even though they played terribly in each game That should give them a good idea of how to price the games.
They didn't offer streaming of those games last year for legal reasons. They need to get that sorted out this season.

Yes, what would be ideal would be for the games to be simulcast on local broadcast TV, and also on Amazon
Edit: The problem with streaming, though it, is that it interferes with League PA, unless there's a separate charge for it.

If Grey is paying for the OTA rights they probably want the streaming rights too. They do have a streaming platform called Zeam that they launched last year.

The problem with Gray last season is that they thought they could put all of the games on Fox 8, and it turned out that fox didn't give them waivers to broadcast those games instead of regularly scheduled Fox programming.
I wonder if they'll be able to negotiate a deal with Fox this season to do that.

That's not the only problem. People here said the weak transmission towers in Baton Rouge don't reach Ascension. I don't care if it's Gray, Amazon, or NBA League Pass, but someone needs to stream the games from a reliable service for a reasonable price.
