How about Chris Mullin or Dan Majerle?

Why are you only comparing him to white guys? Or was that your joke?

Memphis ain't trading Ja.

If there is a continuum of fan love, with Dallas' love for Luka on one end and New Orleans' love for Zion on the other, Ja is way over on the Luka side.

Memphis ain't trading Ja.

I don't think this is true.

Chris Mullin was infinitely more talented than this dude. Majerle was a great defender and very athletic.

Bad comps

Knueppel is a tough comparison if you're trying to pick 1 guy to compare him to. He's kind of a unique prospect since he's build like a linebacker, has an elite shot, and is good at things he's shouldn't be with his profile and lack of athletic tools.

I think he's a high end role player and connector that can step above his role when needed.

The question is always are you content with that or are you looking for upside? That's the pause with him.

You gotta go with upside if you're picking in the top of the lottery like we are. They only way this team can get a star is through the draft.

That's a mistake. We need quality players throughout the 2-deep. I wouldn't take him top 5, but if we are picking 6 or 7, I wouldn't mind him. He's going to be solid and could shine in the right system. We just need better pieces.

We are not a franchise that can afford to pass up on high end basketball talent. If there is a chance to get Morant and pair him with Zion, you do it. You worry about everything else later.

Just because I like to watch the world burn………

A much better Kon comparison than anyone has mentioned is probably….. Luka Doncic. Luka was listed at the exact same measurements of 6’7, 218 his rookie season. Much heavier than that now obviously.

Kon played major competitive basketball at Duke, averaged over 17 points shooting 40.6% from three and 91.4% from the FT line which for college is absurd. And he’s probably got 40 pounds on guys like VJ, Fears and others. I think I’ve settled on a poor man’s Luka as a comparison, though I know daring to mention a player that good will rub some the wrong way.

He doesn’t. Just looking for similarities for a guy that really doesn’t have many.

Last thing you want in the lockerroom is someone with off the court issues like Ja but

If you want to turn down a deal for Ja because you want to keep Herb. You’re a certified retard
at least Herb wants to play here. Zion checked out the moment New Orleans won the first picked.

Swap Zion for Ja
Trade back and Draft Asa Newell
Start Missi and sign Looney for backup

PG is Ja
SG Dejounte Murry
SF/PF Trey Murphy
PF/SF Herb Jones and Asa Newell
C Yves Missi and Kevon Looney

Ja Morant in New Orleans would be a recipe for disaster. Would be like putting Zion in charge of an ice cream shop
