if the Knicks actually agree to a trade for Gordon for example, they would only do so at the pels behest. So if something like that happens, Davis is a Knick

If the trade was something like this Id say we did really well.
Knicks- Davis
Pelicans- Gordan,3rd pick, Robinson, Knicks 2021
Magic- Mavs 2021 un protected, DSJ, Knox
I could see this working for all the teams but Im not sure Magic would trade Gordan. Everything I hear is they want to be constant playoff team now.

Orlando has to decide what to do about vucevich and Ross ultimately.
assuming they bring back both (they should) they need to get better in the backcourt and DSJ might help a lot. They’ve also got fultz who they can be patient with. They don’t have to move on from Gordon but they could
They are exactly the kind of team to get involved

I am surprised this hasn't leaked with the Lakers and Celtics as well. I think Dell gave a list to the Lakers of basically all the unattainable players in the league for them to go get for AD. If we are not big on the Lakers package, we should send them chasing other players for us.

At this point, I’m sure Griffin and Pelinka are under an agreement about leaks. If the Lakers play this wrong, I’m sure the Pelicans will not negotiate in good faith. My guess is Pelinka is the only person in the Lakers brass that knows any details about a potential trade as if now. Until it is agreed upon and the news makes it way to Buss and her advisors. I don’t see a leak happening.

agree and i also think the comments about Gentry and griffin liking a ball/holiday backcourt are genuine. The lakers trade if its ball, Ingram, #4 and a lakers future 1st is competitive and the pels will take it if there’s no better offer
I also think that it’s unreasonable to not take into account that the pels now have zion in the calculus of the Davis transaction. It’s not a small thing and it makes some sense now to at least appear to take davis’ wishes into account
I also want to point out that the “super team” then assembled in LA would still have glaring holes in it and unless they also manage to get butler or similar, short lived.

I would rather have ball, holiday, zion, Ingram and whoever they take at #4 than broken down Lebron half assing the season and Davis plus scrubs. The lakers would be without draft capital in the short term and the allure of coming to LA to play with Lebron is quickly fading

like who are they really going to get to play with James and Davis?
kemba?
Harris?
butler?
the teams with current rights to those guys surely will have something to say about that. The lakers are no longer the first choice for FAs, unless they are the only ones buying. They’ll be saddled with davis’ 30% in the short term and 35% quickly approaching. I’m not optimistic

Ball, Ingram, #4, and 2021 Lakers first has the potential to be a great trade for Pelicans.. Odds are one of the three assets will underachieve or not perform well or even have severe injury problems going forward. But i believe 2 or 3 players will turn out to be very good players.

Also in this trade Im asking for Hart which is a very nice added piece. Guy always shows up ready to play.

Ball sucks...
Sucks balls...

None of those guys want to be here. No thanks!

and 2021 Lakers first
I’d insist on 2022
most likely to be the double draft if they kill one and done, and lebrony will be cooked

Do you know the guys personally? They are professional basketball players not children. I assure you thats playing zero impact in Griffins mind right now
Posted on 6/9/19 at 1:46 pm to Sharp85
The Lakers need Davis. I don’t care what the other teams are offering, the Pels should insist on Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, Hart, #4. For them to swing and miss on Davis and FA would e a disaster. Take advantage of that.

I would be okay with Lakers keeping Kuz and us getting..... Ill rank to me what is most important in order.
Ingram
4th pick
Ball
Hart
2022 pick.
I just love this trade. It gives you a chance to create a good young and deep team. I like the fact that Ball doesnt need alot of shots. I want Ingram, Jrue and Zion taking the most shots and I think Ball is okay with this. I love what this team can be defensively also. Multiple guys can guard multiple positions.
