1. Trey injured
2. Ingram doesn't want to be here and no one wants him here
3. No center
4. CJ getting along in age, maybe at end of his prime or past it
5. Need Zion to stay healthy to be competitive
6. Team has less depth than last year (lost Jonas/Naji/Nance/Dyson)
7. Zion/Murray already questionable for the opener
8. Willie Green is still the coach

This is the only thing that matters, everything else is ancillary.

The problem is that Zion staying healthy is the least likely thing to happen.

There has been no indication of this.

Woah now. Dyson was replaced with a fringe All-Star. Naji was replaced with Hawkins minutes and J.Green. And we can agree that Nance pissed us off. Not saying Theis/Missi/Jemison/Karlo are better than JV/Nance, but we have depth.

Edited to add Jonas. Bottom line is the Pels lost four rotation players, and added one legit one. The others are off the street guys who might not be NBA rotation level players.

Hawkins can't guard the guys that Naji would take on, we're going to miss Naji's hustle and defense.

1. Trey injured

not for long

2. Ingram doesn't want to be here and no one wants him here

not true

3. No center

Maybe Missi becomes that guy

4. CJ getting along in age, maybe at end of his prime or past it

still a really good player and an elite shooter

5. Need Zion to stay healthy to be competitive

he played 70 games last season

6. Team has less depth than last year (lost Naji/Nance/Dyson)

but more elite talent

7. Zion/Murray already questionable for the opener

if you need to melt, then you need to melt, but there's not really a good reason to

8. Willie Green is still the coach

[Willie isn't a bad coach

You shouldn’t be, just slit your wrist now so there’s one less negative Pels fan.

Was in shape for roughly half of them and still didn't play in the playoffs.

this one right here Last years team would hit droughts and they could go inside to get buckets from JV. This is a 35 win total team in my opinion

We won 49 games last year, and Murray makes us at least 5 games better. Think of all the games we couldn’t close out because we couldn’t move the ball in crunch time due to not having a true facilitator. 54 wins put us at the 4 seed last year.

This he solves our biggest weakness as our clutch record was insanely bad last year.

This could possibly be true. I'm actually excited to see how the experiment works out and if going so small will work. I'm nervous about having basically no front court. It's a risky plan. Griffin is gambling his career on this lark.

I like the fact that we flipped a portion of the roster. I didn't like that we have made so little movement over the past few seasons, basically keep running it back. But are we better?

This is the stats from last year LINK

We lost our 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th players (as far as minutes played). That's a ton of lost production. Some people have to really step..

If Willie doesn't demand the ball be in Murray's hands in crunch time to start the offense he won't be coaching by the ASB. You avoid the pissing match now of Point Zion vs Point BI with Murray here. BI should still get some iso 20 second plays, but at least we can mix it up and run some action to get Zion posted up or CJ/Trey/Herb/BI(?) open 3 looks.

I believe the PG part is overblown, especially with so many good facilitators/passers on the team. It was not a hug need. But we need closers. Guys that can get their own shot or carry the team down the stretch. We have seen guys show glimpses of that. But we need someone or multiples to really take over in late game situations..
