They also got him to rebuild thinking he could be their star

No dude. They just flipped him after rehabbing him. He was seen as one of the most negative assets in the NBA a year ago. He had a reasonable year and they flipped him at apex value to dump salary.

But he's really just a microwave scorer that's really streaky. He'd be fine off the bench, in a smaller role, with the expectation that he's blow up every 3rd or 4th game, to bail us out. We need a 6th man, and he has excelled in that role previously. That should be the focus.

This is who he is. The question is if he sees himself this way.

His salary doesn't see him that way, and he certainly doesn't see himself that way, but that is who he is.
There's no shame in becoming an elite 6th man who still plays 28mpg.

Raising that trade value for the Wiz hopefully can get a first for him by the deadline

Genius Dumars took on an extra year of Poole

If CJ walked at the end of the year then we lose 30mil because we are already over the salary cap. Having Poole means that we can take in an extra 30mil in a trade. Not to mention his value will still be higher than CJ's even if its 2nds.

Yes I would have given him 3/120.

He wasn’t taking that deal here, he wanted to GTFO and we got nothing in return (both players are gone).

Yeah, there is no way poole sees himself as a 6th man on this team. Hopefully they can sell it th him and he doesn't pull some bullshite. He seems very emotional

Almost seems like the type to get mad and will start whispering in other player's ears.

Actually we chose Trey for 25mil and Herb for 23mil instead of BI for 45mil. And we got Poole/ Bey. Poole and CJ would get close the same in a trade so that's a wash.

If we can extend Bey and keep him for another 4-5 years then we essentially traded BI's salary to secure Trey/ Herb/ Bey for several years.

CJ just looks done.

I watched highlights of the Wizards game, and CJ got hot in the 4th qtr and helped them erase something like an 18 pts deficit to bring it to a tie. So, of course, with CJ hot, he gets the last shot of regulation to win it all, and...doink. Game goes to OT.

In OT, it remains a back & forth close game, and CJ takes the last shot to win it all or lose, and...doink. Of course.

Reminds me of our Pels Talk suite game/meet-up a couple of years ago vs the Nuggets when CJ had a good game to take it down to the wire. But when you need CJ to come up clutch with the final shot, like we did, he semingly always let's you down, like he did. So, I don't know if he's actually done, or just doing business as usual.
