This is incorrect. That time frame is where the shake down of management for input into building a better team occurs. Looking for greener pastures wouldn't happen until about year 7.

Oh, you mean the guy on the team that made a final appearance and won the west in the last 2 seasons isn't complaining?

Yea that's what I'm saying. The guy who is starting next to the league's least efficient center should be pissed that the franchise wouldn't amnesty that center because they didn't want to pay for it. That's a no-brainer for just about every other team in the league.

link?

You do realize Worldwide Wes controls the NBA right?

Well that's not overstated at all.

The same Worldwide Wes that Nerlens told to frick off? Again, maybe the next group learned something.

I typed that out wrong. I meant to say "five years from now" not "year 5". My fault.

Maybe you're right, and the stats would back that up, but when watching CP that year did you think he was giving 110%? Because I remember watching dumbfounded at how passive he was until the playoffs started.

A bum knee would do that. He has been playing very similar with the Clippers. Sure, he'll still have great games, but he is not the player he was from 2006-2009.

Well good thing that knee magically turned un-bum for the series with the Lakers.

I remember that Toney Douglas outplayed him bad. He was getting killed on this board during that stretch.

Because it was the playoffs. He's doing the exact same thing for the Clippers.

I hate speculating on effort, especially for a player coming off an injury like Paul's. Was he different? Yes. Was it lack of effort? I don't think so, but I get why many feel differently.

PER 36 he put up the same numbers in the playoffs. He did shoot better and, tellingly, he got to the line more frequently. So there's something to a more aggressive Paul.

Same time, everyone amps it up for the playoffs. Paul, since his injury, has lost a step. He cant dominate like he used to. Jarring for us to see it after his insane run from 07-09. What he did was the best run from any pg ever.

But IMO, I don't think he was pouting. Injury repurcussions and a realization that his body would not hold up playing balls out for 82 + playoffs are the culprits for differences we still see in LA.

There's plenty of strange in the city. No need to fly to St. Louis.

The narrative for Paul is whatever people want it to be,apparently.

I know that be and Jada enjoyed living here. And that's pretty much from the source over a couple of years.

I also believe that he very well may have stayed with stronger ownership and stability. The idea that he fricked the team over is ludicrous. Given the circumstances, I would have bailed, too. The idea of his people "manipulating" the market is funny. He tried to get the best situation he could like any rational player would do.
