+1 to what Letster, Eyeran, and ThrillHo have said about Sullinger and the talent on this team. Great points

I don't dislike Sullinger, he is just very, very redundant on our team in terms of talent distribution. Why draft someone to steal minutes from Davis?

I think they could play together and eventually start together. How may teams would really be able to take advantage of us in the post with Davis and Sullinger on the court? Lakers, maybe Memphis.

Size wise, Davis and Sullinger aren't much different than what a lot of teams start. Noah and Boozer, for example.

Offensively, I think they're perfect compliments.

Just because he's a frontcourt player doesn't mean he's redundant. Oak basically has no offense. Davis doesn't really yet either, though he has potential there. Smiht has a good jumper, that's it. Sullinger has a decent jumper (that's improving) and is the only one in the bunch with a legit post game. He can get us the nasty, pound it out, back to the basket points. We don't have anyone that can do that with Landry almost certainly on the way out.

I don't see anyone who's specialty is low post scoring on this team.

His specialty is low post scoring, He may not be the best but he is the best we got.

They clearly want to get rid of Okafor.

Either they just got tired of him and sent him home or he had the worst "sore knee" of all time.

idk. Think about it. When Mek's contract expires, Davis will be a legit 5.We make a key FA pick up that year Mek leaves(Danny Granger idk if that is his FA year)and that could be our championship year.

it doesn't really matter if he starts the game at center or not. More than likely, when this team is ready to compete at a high level, Davis will be the "center" in crunch/winning time and that is all that maters.

Okay, but where is he getting minutes? At the 5? 3, maybe? No, he's going to have to take them away from Davis and Ayon (who is proven capable in the NBA not Big 10). He is a 4 and only a 4. Okafor provides way more than what little offense Sullinger would provide in 2 years. I don't know what's so damn hard to understand.

On the other hand, maybe Davis will never be a classic 5. In fact, I'm pretty sure he won't be. If the guy turns out to be what we all hope he will be, i.e. a hybrid, we can use another traditional post player.

not essential in today's NBA game. But I see your point.

You cool with a $25 buy in, or would you rather $10?

A little off topic, but would each of you send $25 to me? It's for a truly great cause.
