Case for optimism

That sucked. Straight up seemed like it was rigged to protect the more valuable franchises. I still think you can get a good player at 7 and I think there is a chance you could package the Indy pick and maybe something else to trade up to 4... maybe 3.
At 7, I like Kasparas or Queen. Kasparas has size, craft, and shows some elite passing. He can also play off the ball when/if Z is point.
Queen has dominated at every age group coming up. He is really smooth snd fun to watch. Also w/ Queen you could run the double big lineup you experimented with towards end of season.
Ideally Tre Johnson drops to a spot you could go get him without giving up too much.

That we didn't get filled with more crushing optimism.

They’re going to draft Malauch at 7.

Good, do it. We need size in a very bad way. Just for comparison, Dallas will most like roll out:
Kyrie
Klay/Naji/Dinwiddie
Coop
AD
Gafford
Pj Washington
Caleb Martin
Derek Lively

Only way to ever feel optimism for them now is if they sold the team. This franchise is over.

Well to play devils advocate..
You could say the league rigged the Spurs into the top 3 so they could have the ammo to trade for Giannis.. Meaning the Bucks will likely take one of the Rutgers players who dont exactly give off "franchise player" vibes.
Of course it doesn't really matter how many draft picks we can stack when you're in a division with Houston, Flagg, and Giannis

Meh
That's a lot better than meh, imho. I'm shocked 7 has been that fruitful.
Hayes is the only bad player, and at least 2 star-level guys are on the list.

Right.
Clingan, sharpe, kuminga, Jamal Murray, and Lauri are all good pics.
