Yeah I 100% think BI is the rare great player, like a Bradley Beal, that can be made content as long as he has a competitive team and the sense a FO does him right.

Which makes me frustrated when fans shite on the guy or want to get rid of him because he's not Kawhi Leonard.

He's a 24 year old(birthday two weeks ago) with great character, budding leadership, and has demonstrated the ability to get meaningfully better every season.

I will be shocked if BI is not a consensus top 15 player by 26-27.

Agreed on all counts.

He'll never be a title alpha, but there are only like 5 or 6 of those guys in the NBA. If he can bulk up to "guard bigger" then hopefully we can figure out a non-negative defensive role.

I think him smiling like that is more rare/noteworthy than any notion of weight gain.

It makes sense. We want to keep one of Ingram or Zion on the court all the time.

I actually think if Hayes takes a 3rd year leap like we hope, then we will start using Jonas to anchor bench scoring and increase the BI/Z minutes played together instead of trying to stagger them so much.

We had to stagger them last year as they were the only offensive engines, but with Jonas in the fold, he can dominate bench lineup usage. Play him with Sato, Naji, Hart, and Trey.

Ingram can be good on defense with his length. It is a matter of buy-in, effort, and scheme, not size. Look at Chris Boucher. That dude is a twig and can play great D.

Memphis had a lot of success staggering Jonas so he could beat up on opposing team's benches.

I'd like it to work out so we can do the same.

I'm skeptical how good our D can be with our personnel, so having the ability to just keep the gas going and piling on the points all game would make us tough to beat most nights.

I don’t think we will have a problem with that from BI. From all indications, he’s just a good guy, who loves basketball, and wants to be really good. He really doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.

Willie Green confirms that BI gained 20-25lbs of muscle this offseason on NBATV.

I really think that he is our backup PF this year, to a significant extent. Those of you who wanted him to be a SG are out of luck. He's gone from a pure 3 to a 3/4.

Nah brah. He will run the 3 a lot with TM3 rotating in.

Whatever the frick happens, I’m just glad basketball is here again.
