Heat forward Jimmy Butler:

quote:

Butler said he would not be surprised if some of the intensity from Friday's game carries over to the clubs' next meeting in Miami on March 22.

"We'll beat them the next time too," Butler said after the game. "We're just a better team.

O Jimmy, between your team getting twice the free throws we did and us missing two of our top scorers, we will certainly find out in March won’t we?

Refs were a disgrace as usual. We didn’t have two of our top guys. Our shooters shot like shite and their shooters were on fire. Oh and we played on a back to back when they haven’t played in a week.

Keep running your mouth Jimmy.

Love the trash talk. Let’s see if we can respond.

We couldn't even get calls on our home court. Imagine what the calls will look like when we play them in Miami. You know the league will have this game under a microscope and wont allow us to get as physical as Miami on their home floor.

Pels should clear their heads. They have a tough road trip ahead and for sure they'll be undermanned. This team needs to take care of business with something sustainable like rebounding, in place of responding to emotional dribble and trash talk. Make no mistake, narrative is becoming Pels fold under pressure, but you handle that on the court with something physical and sustainable like rebounding.

They are better coached but the Pels have more talent, when healthy.

frick Jimmy Butler but this team needs this type of adversity. Between this and Draymond saying no one is worried about the Pels, the boys should be pissed and on a mission

For sure, Spoelstra is hall of fame, but Coach Green gets too much grief. Talent wise is close but won't push back. Magic Johnson use to have a phrase called 'Winning Time'. Pels have to figure that out. After the fight, Bam controlled the game by controlling the paint. For sure a lot of that is execution that reflects on the coach but both teams were undermanned, gassed, and offenses were tepid, yet Heat got second-chance boards and that's on the players on the court.

Jimmy is right. We beat up on the betas but have no luck against the alphas.

One thing to acknowledge is that Willie is hyped and considered a “player’s coach”. The thing that is slightly strange about it is he was never really on a successful team. When you state “Winning Time”, Willie doesn’t really have that experience as he only got to the second round a couple of times.

He saw it at Golden State, but does not have the experience of it as a player.

But he does have the most efficient 4th quarter shooting performance in New Orleans Hornican history.

One of the craziest freak things I’ve ever seen at a sporting event in person.

Coach Green is in his third year and he's improved as a coach. His defense's have been solid, and he is getting better at the tactical side of basketball. If anything, I'd be concern about it's his stubbornness, thats part and parcel of roster construction. It keeps him from moving on from bad decisions and closes doors on opportunity.
