I’ll say the trade was successful if it gets Griff and Green fired and we start fresh from the top down…

Don't matter if Gayle is still here. Need to get her pedo protecting arse out of saints and pels ownership.

Lol okay. I guess I'm imagining the pels playing like the best team in the league last year when everyone was healthy. my bad. We're supposed to be all doom and gloom, never actually supporting the team here. I'll just go frick myself lmao
You can’t support the team and also be realistic?
That best team in the league went like 0-28 on games where they weren’t leading into the fourth and also where BI and Zion both played 64 and 70 games yet we were still a play in squad yet again

Wish it was a 25 pick.
The ‘26 class is strong. This was a good return for BI at this point.

Good trade for right now but bad trade in hindsight when most of us wanted Ingram trade a year or two ago
Totally agree...end of story. Now...let's move on.

Complete bs. That old women has no idea what’s going on. Every move is 100% on Griff.
It’s not like the absolute retard trades the Suns and some of these other teams make b/c these tech bros are trying to play nba 2k on the PlayStation and forced mandates on the gm.
I’m sure Griff has full autonomy and has absolutely blown a silver platter handed to him.

It really is. BI’s trade value has plummeted.

Best we could've gotten at this point. Wish we'd have traded him when his value was high

This is the worst trade in franchise history. Griffin should be in handcuffs. Bruce brown and Kelly Olynyk bruh. Let him walk in the offseason if that’s the fricking return we’re getting
You're a fricking moron..

This is worse than I ever imagined
You thought dumping a 27 year old anti-clutch overpaid nba player for some assets was worse than you ever imagined? Thank Christ you’re only a fan.

The raptors 2nd round pick is their 2031 2nd round pick.
Basically paid for the Theis dump.

This is better than I was expecting
People were not being realistic thinking that BI was going to bring a haul with his availability and contract issues.
Griffin just mistimed the trade by 2-3 years. Otherwise Ingram could’ve been used as a way to get a Haliburton or a Sengun type player (before they blew up).
The lack of foresight and bad timing were the main crimes here. This was a good trade as we stand today though, unless we turned down an Onyeka package from Atlanta.

I would see if we could trade Olynyk to the suns and take on nurkic for a 1st or 2. Same contract length, a little more expensive , pretty washed, but we collect a couple more assets.
Posted on 2/6/25 at 12:58 am to Balsamic_duck
I’d support that. Bruce and Olynyk need to be moved for more assets. They shouldn’t play a game for the Pels, though Bruce Brown is a solid player.

I mean how much are people really going to fault Griff for wanting to see ONE SEASON of Brandon & Zion on the floor together before blowing the thing up? It was barely a year ago when Green was calling them the best duo in the NBA.
In retrospect should Pels have dealt BI for a top pick in the 2023 draft? You bet. But after Griff actually got to see Z and BI together for an extended run, he was ready to deal Brandon based on evidence. Problem was by summer 2024 offseason, Brandon's performance on Team USA and in the playoffs, yet another injury, his looming contract demands and new CBA provisions, had combined to greatly diminish his trade value.
But to avoid that outcome, Griffin would have had to deal Brandon based on a very limited sample size with Zion, potentially busting up a star pairing that, on paper, could carry a team to a championship, without ever really seeing them play together. That's a hard ask and potentially a foolish one if one or both of those stars go on to help another team win big.
