He's been our best player these first two games.

We had some dude seriously try to say he was realistically our 4th or 5th best player a couple weeks ago.

BI actually hit the last two shots, which were sandwiched with a Zion turnover and a Zion bad missed shot in between them.

BI and Zion made just enough plays tonight. Still have a lot of work to do but I’ll take BI shooting 9 3’s and Zion having 5 steal/block combined every night.

And Zion found the hottest shooter on the court in the 4th, something ingram refused to do

You also had people saying to trade him for basically any backup center.

Stop making shite up. BI actually shunned a set late in the game to drag a double team with him and gave Hawkins half the court against a sagging big to make a shot.

I did not like the last shot BI took, even though he made it.
I like that they forced a mismatch and he had a considerable size advantage, but I just don’t like the just go 1on1 offense. It rarely leads to a good shot.
What I will say is BI is the only guy on the team that can make the difficult shot that he’s forced to create for himself like that. And if he leaves, that skill set has to be replaced. I do think Murray can do it as well though and look forward to seeing that this year.

The shot BI hit to tie the game was a nice set play that got him free on the move for an open 12 footer. That’s the kind of mid range shot I like to see, when it’s a set play that gets him free and it’s inside 15’.
That is the kind of late game offense I want to see more of, and was rarely ever seen last year. It was all 1on1, Zion as well.
I want sets run for Zion as well where he can catch the ball on the move, or post up a mismatch.
Just run a simple set instead of 1on1 and our clutch stats will be much better this year.

I agree. Watching that play felt like the same thing we all complained about last year. What happened to a set play in the final minutes that creates a "good shot"? Instead, we just play iso ball and hope hero ball wins it for us.

Last night, it went in and was a good outcome. But, we can't count on those types of shots in crunch time. It's fools gold.

I'll take the win, but play calling needs to improve down the stretch.

Y'all complain about anything. That was literally the play call out of the time out and we had CJ screen which forced the switch on the worst defender on the floor at 6'4 while BI at 6'8 got the match up that we hunted for. That was executed to perfection. You nitpick about the type of shot BI ended up with but that was a comfortable shot for him and I take no issue with it.

It was a tough shot to get as your last shot which is I think what everyone is saying. Ingram can and will and did make that but it probably should have and could have been easier

It was a 15 foot turnaround against Simons. Some of you act like he dribbled into the teeth of the defense and took an off balanced shot off two long defenders or took a long contest 20ft shot.

Anything within 15 foot, 1 on1 against a smaller weaker defender is a good shot for BI.

Bros, it was the last shot but it was to win the game. They got the switch they wanted and let bi work. That’s a play I would expect them to run to win the game, put it in your best shot makers hands and let him cook on a switch. Blazers should have doubled but that’s another big plus having Hawkins out there.

A certain poster is unusually absent from this thread.

This certain poster is very critical of Ingram too.

Is that certain poster strikingly handsome and generally always right?
