The front office didn’t think shite. The ownership thought it was a wonderful idea and pushed it.

Not familiar , how did he alienate?

Does a buyout save any money on the cap? Is the purpose to get the player to accept less than the full value of the contract?

They can't pay him less. They can, however cut him and stretch the cap hit over several years. Frankly, that's more of a tax move than payroll move for them.

I think you CAN pay less in a buyout but that is typically when the player wants out rather than the team wants them gone.

Beal’s contract is ironclad on both money and being traded so they are over a barrel if he decides he isn’t going anywhere.

Why does Griff get to stay on and the people he hired (again) are let go?

I actually do not believe that either get fired. Griffin is not the GM, so he can't really be held responsible for all personnel decisions. Some of that would go to the former GM. Maybe they move Graham out, as sort of a scapegoat. But he's been in the role less than a year and he's young. He should get more time, unless he's in way over his head.

We do not know the specifics of Green's deal. So we do not know the buy out. His current group of assistants is not helping him too much. He needs a game manager to help him out. I'd give him one more year, especially since I want to do a rebuild/reset. I'd rather wait for the summer of 2026 to find a next coach, if Green doesn't progress..

Green doesn’t listen to his assistant coaches,if he did they wouldn’t be so bad.He has to be the man even to the point of loosing many games in the 4th quarter because he won’t take advice. It’s the HNIC attatude.

They made players available today and that’s unusual. I’d expect any news to break after that not before or during.

We will see

The entire front office in Phoenix needs to go. Ownership too.

I really don’t see that happening, James Jones and Ishbia are very good friends from before Ishbia bought the team

Bud wasn’t the reason that team sucked. It was whoever decided to bring in Beal.
