Simmons updated his trade value rankings with the deadline coming. The way he did it was a top 75, 25 honorable mentions, but also ranked the HMs so it's basically a top 100

Pels guys:

Hawkins - 96th (honorable mention)
Trey - 83rd (honorable mention)
Herb - 72
BI - 36th
Zion - 33rd
CJ - Unranked
Dyson - Unranked

Other notables that are just interesting to me or guys who have been linked in some way to the Pels or guys we just talk about from time to time on this board:

- Jalen Green 100
- Cam Whitmore 99
- Scoot 98th
- Austin Reaves 73
- Walker Kessler 67
- Alex Caruso 62
- Dejounte Murray 58
- Jarrett Allen 45
- Lebron 39
- Ja Morant 32
- Mikal Bridges 31
- Brandon Miller 29
- Lauri 23
- Jalen Williams ahead of Chet Holmgren (20 & 21)
- KD 17
- Kawhi 16
- Embiid 12
- Wemby 4

Simmons is infatuated with this guy. He's like a poor man's Herb Jones.

I find this very hard to believe. Feels like Chet's value would be higher than Jaylin

Bruh he is #1.

50 games in, you cannot convince me there's another player in the league you can convince me to give up for him.

I think it's wild to see on the surface. But looking at Williams' numbers, it's bonkers how good he is.

He's averaging 19ppg on 54% from the field, and 45% from 3.

But yea, I'd still say Chet is more valuable.

At the very least IMO, Jokic is clearcut ahead of Wemby.

Added Herb who came in at 72.

I really don't think Lauri is better than Zion.

I'd take Williams over Chet. Reminder Pels passed on Williams to take Dyson.

I think right at this moment, Lauri has more trade value.

If the bucks offered giannis for wemby the Spurs would say yes before they could complete the sentence.

They’re quite similar statistically, but Herb makes about 30% more per year. And the list weighs contracts.

Caruso is also older though, so that tilts it some back towards Herb.

62 vs 72 is pretty close, so it shows they're in the same tier, which IMO is correct.

I'm not sure they would

They're in position to compete if you add Giannis, so it would still take 2-3 years to retool the team before you're maybe a contender, and Giannis would be 31-32 by then.

Fyi it’s not a who is better ranking. His trade value has different qualifiers too, so it’s not a player for player value.

CJ makes less money and is arguably playing better than Dame right now. His season is being massively underrated right now
