Blake Griffin is a fairly good comp for Zion's career trajectory

There is this weird narrative about Superstar teams. But no one can ever explain the last Spurs Championship (the one that killed the potential Heat dynasty).

That team had one semi Allstar/all pro in Parker. Duncan and Ginobli were way past their primes. Leonard wasn't a star yet. No one averaged 20ppg. But they killed everyone. How did that happen?
The team that had 4 all time greats.

hence the unnecessary 10-11 man rotations
All teams are running 10-11 man rotations as the standard setup in the regular season.

Again, some of these takes are wild, centered on the only consistent player that has led this team to any recent post-season success
CJ has been the only consistent player of our top 3 dudes.

I actually really love our team outside of Zion and BI. A bunch of really likable guys who play extremely hard. The FO has done a fantastic job there. It really is a shame they’re stuck with 2 bums for stars. You give this supporting cast to 2 actual stars and they could win a title. Embiid and Maxey. Luka and Kyrie. Lebron and AD. Jimmy and Bam. PG and Kawhai. All of those duos could win a title with our 3-15

lol ... Neither of those statements are true. Naji and Dyson are not getting major burn except for getting some tape on them. CJ was not at all consistent against the Suns in the playoffs or last year leading up to the playin (he did have a bum shoulder and hand). My guy, just stop, you can be very astute at times, but just give in to propagandizing. Check with me in May and we can have a for real discussion.

I agree. It's not the backup C holding us back. It's Ingram and Zion not being as good as we thought

Ok, teams are running 8 and 9 man rotations as standard and BI and Zion have been more consistent than CJ this season. If you say so

Is this real life?

It's wild that someone would think either of those 2 statements I made are THAT outlandish but you somehow think they both are. Just wild.

Anyone else think it's totally crazy to say CJ has been our most consistent dude this season or that teams tend to run more 10 man rotations in the regular season as opposed to 8 or 9?

If anyone actually deserves all star votes especially in regards to his consistency and efficiency this season its CJ. Trust me I was ragging on him last season and he looks like a completely different player- because he basically is- his shot profile is extremely different. Kudos to CJ what we initially asked BI to do- change his game to become a better more efficient version of himself.

The rotation thing is pretty obvious- if people don’t know this, they don’t really follow basketball.

CJ is arguably having the best 3pt shooting season currently in the league. He is making 3.5/game. Third in the league. He is shooting about 8/game. That is way down the board on attempts. He has a very high 3pt% for high volume.

Again, read before you reply. Statement was 10-11 man rotations not 9 man. Im beginning to doubt you know the game (maybe know the metrics).

Reason to go that deep in against a conference leader, when 2-3 reserve players are not playing to standard before ASB is to try to get value on a possible deal. Chess not checkers.
