Any truth at all to Lebron James to Pelicans rumor?

On today’s locked on Pelicans podcast Jake Madison was talking about a Lebron to Nola rumor. Obviously it most likely won’t happen but I’m curious how nuch truth there is to this rumor. Anyone hear anything else about it?

I haven't listened to the pod cast yet but I hope he was pretty dismissive of it. I think getting the Banana Boat back together in Houston probably makes more sense than LeBron to NOLA, especially since LeBron is more PF than SF at this point in his career.
On a related note I am starting to worry about the Cavs. If they don't get it together LeBron is likely coming West and I don't think it will be to make the Pels better.

He was pretty dismissive of it but he did say that the rumors are out there. I agree with you on him going to Houston

Do we have enough touches for lebron Lillard Kemba AD jrue and boogie? I guess lebron can become strictly a distributor type as he ages. The good thing is lebron Lillard kemba ans jrue can all run the point and play off the ball. I say sure why not, bring him over

Yeah I mean, I'll take him on a vet minimum deal just to see if he fits with all those other pieces.

I think the Cavs are done. Kyrie lit the match that blew it up by leaving, but it was Lebron and his entourage always having to control the team and the narrative that built the bomb. You can tell no one is happy playing there.
Lebron is going to leave unless Gilbert promises to sell the team to Lebron for a reasonable price when Lebron retires. It will be interesting to see if Lebron or CP will take a pay cut to play together in Houston though. I think they both would do so if not for the fact that CP is the head of the players association and Lebron is kind of de facto in charge of what is considered acceptable player conduct in the NBA.
They both now strongly believe that players should not take paycuts to the owners' benefit. I do not know if they would undermine that stance by taking real paycuts to play together.

There is nothing pointing to things getting better.

I actually could see him want to not bang down low for the back 4th of his career.

What PF's bang low these days?

Yeah, plus I was thinking more on defense. On offense LeBron can fit anywhere. On defense if AD/DC are guarding the bigs, that means LeBron is chasing someone around the perimeter.

It may be enough of a catalyst to redo the playoff system. Only upside I see. On court it would just plain suck.
Would the WCF be more viewed than the NBA Finals?

So if PFs dont bang down low...offensively whats the difference between a PF and a SF. And do you think LeBron would rather guard AD or Darius Miller?

Nothing. The difference is the matchup is on defense. For example we don’t skip a beat on the offensive when Moore is at “SF” with Jrue and Rondo. On defense, he’s a turnstile guarding other SFs.

You think he'd rather chase guys around the perimeter and fight through multiple screens as he ages? That's what he'd have to do if he joined AD/DC.
