Kira is probably ahead on the depth chart to be honest.

Even if he comes here, he wouldn’t even play. SVG keeps his rotation tight

I wouldn't say that, he's got the potential to be a Josh Hart kind of player.

From an article about a week ago on returning to the Sydney Kings:

quote:

“My priority was to follow Kings. It was a decision taken in conjunction with my agents, Aylton Tesch and Arlem Lima, and the Pelicans GM. They continue to monitor me, following my work here in Australia, and we are always in touch, ”said Didi.

IIRC about 3-4 weeks ago he posted some work outs on social media wearing Pels gear. If the Pels weren't interested I don't think we'd hear Didi keep talking about them. He'd be looking for opportunity with other teams.

Well Kira is on the team. Didi isn't right now.

The NBL season hasn't started yet. Let's see if he can hit over 30% of his 3s this year. If so, then maybe he comes next year.

But we don't need a 3&D guy who can't shoot 3s. There's only so much that Fred Vinson can do. If Didi proves that he can shoot, then he'll be here next year, because the D is supposedly already good.

I’d say the chances of him coming over are fair to good(on our team or not), the chances of him ever being a meaningful player for us specifically? Probably pretty low.

We can’t even find space for our #12 pick amidst a troubling three guard rotation, not sure when SVG would ever put in a second rounder he had no connection with collaborating on selecting.

Probably on a night when he thinks he's one of the best 8 or 9 players available.

I think we need to lower our expectations of didi making any sort of impact for this team in the future or even being on the roster

I mean, I still think that there's a very reasonable chance that he can develop into a quality 3&D role player. I think that his ceiling is a player like Josh Hart. I don't know any reason to change that belief.

The Pels let E'Tuwan Moore walk and they still can't find minutes for Kira and NAW. I don't think you can read anything into not bring Didi back this season.
