What a garbage trade. Wiz really fricked up not trading him last year or sooner. Thought if they’d pulled Herro it wouldn’t be too bad. But why rush for that shite platter?
Posted on 6/18/23 at 5:00 pm to Townedrunkard
Yeah i would’ve kept him before trading him for that shite.

This means that the Wizards are going to go full rebuild. So, do we want to try for Porzingis? I still like his fit with Zion.

This is Westbrook to the lakers all over again.
Old, no d playing, terrible contract and awful fit.
Suns just screwed themselves.
Beal has the worst contract in the Nba

To much money for another often injured player. I would pass.

Bobby Marks put out a video outlining exactly how fricked Phoenix is, and holy shite, there is no way in hell I would’ve done this deal.
They have minimum contracts they can sign, that’s it, no MLE, cannot aggregate Ayton into multiple salaries next offseason, cannot sign players that were bought out at more than 12.2 million, their future picks into the 2030’s are frozen and likely moved to the back of the 1st round even if they tank.

Crucial variable

I wonder if the Wizards plan on buying out CP3. Maybe he wants to come back home for basically free. If so it would make sense why he all of a sudden is saying Nola will always be home

avg 23 and 8 boards last year.
on good days hitting 3s he gets low 30s.
personally id play zion in summer league and hope to showcase and move him before practice starts.
you can still do Porzingas signing with or without zion.

Yeah, I can see them trying to flip Ayton for Turner and Heild or something like that, at least they would have a starting 5.

Joking, but really only half-joking.

New ownership must be desperate for a winner. The pressure on that team to win is going to be immense and it will fold.

Their problem was not a lack of offense.
Now you have two old and oft injured guys with terrible contracts and one oft injured guy in his prime plus a chronic underachiever on a max.
And no bench.
That team is gonna suck. They don't fit.

I don't see how they got worse. They swapped Paul and Shamet for Beal. Beal is way better than both of those players. So it was a big upgrade.
I don't know about the money and picks part, that's probably going to suck in the future. But for now, they have 3 Allstars that can play together. Should be solid for the next 2-3 years (just super expensive).
I think they can find a PG and fill out a couple of spots on the bench. There are always cast offs that find a role out of nowhere. Guys like Austin Reaves. I think Jaxson Hayes is arse for us. But would anybody be shocked if he signed with a team like the Sun's and became a solid role player? You just never know.

Can they though?
And is Beal really all that good anymore?

Sure they can, all are solid to greater shooters who can be effective without the ball in their hands
Bradley Beal played with Rustle Westbrook in 2020-2021, his stats that year:
31.3 ppg/4.7 rpg/ 4.4 apg on 48/35/89 splits
