He's making the 3 pointers consistently for once.

I do not know how he has been doing all season but every blazer's game I have watched he seems to being playing solid.

Crazy thing is he is only 25...I feel like he should be like 30 or something.

most of the team teams don't even bother to guard him and he'll have a big game every once in a while. This was his most impressive game to me where the teams actually defended him.

Aminu actually does a number of things really well. He can be a really good player in the right setting.

He's managed to improve his offense since he moved to an offense that actually includes constant movement, cutting and passing

You have to be on the court to be better then someone though.

Plus, thats not how it works. We didn't trade Aminu for Qpon.

More like Aminu >>> whatever trash we had to roll out at SF this season or play others out of position.

He wasn't garbage for us, just wasn't a great fit and we didn't really play to his strengths.

He's 6'9, athletic and defends/rebounds well. Dallas did a good job of developing those strengths and now we're seeing the results of that.

I don't know how anyone doesnt think in retrospect we shouldn't of kept him.

With that said he isn't some cornerstone piece. He is the type of player that can fill a role above replacement level and is young enough and on a good enough contract that he can be used as a positive trade asset in a bigger move.

Mavs got a steal and the Blazers have a solid piece that could be flipped at any time if need be. You want guys like that.

Monty's over reliance on him was the reason most didn't want him back. Especially considering he got the minimum lots of people on the board at the time would have kept him around as a backup, but he wasn't ready to be the full time starter, and that's how Monty was playing him.

Honestly, for a supposedly great developmental coach coming out of Portland, Monty was pretty sketchy with developing guys outside of Davis.

He was good at utilizing developed role players and scheming for them to an extent but he kinda sucked at grooming young or rawer guys that weren't Davis or passing PG's like Vasquez or Collison.
