He alluded to what the schedule looks like if they do come back and discussed how they have looked at in the past a play on tournament.

I think the teams seeded 6-12 should have some sort of play in tournament, 3 game series. It would only be fair.

Pels go on 19-0 run to finish the season with Zion leading the parade down Canal St. Sounds good to me.

The Pels could make some noise and the final 8 in West with some kind of play-in. Would be great TV.

I would love a play in tourney just to get to see this team play again, regardless of outcome

As long as they don’t go straight to the playoffs (with current top 8 seeds) I’ll be happy. It’s bullshite that the Pels schedule was set up to be easy at the end and that schedule unbalanced could cost them the playoffs.

I think the NBA just needs to write this season off.

NBA wants Zion on as much TV as possible. If they come back before next year I can’t see them just going whatever the seeds were. At least 4 teams in the West would have a gripe with that.

Play in tournament would be awesome. He’ll make them all the same game style as the all star game.

With a hiatus like this, when they come back they won't be hurting for ratings. Zion isn't on the mind of silver in regards to this at all.
They say every game matters if it's number 1 or number 82. This season shows us why.
If they come back straight to playoffs it should be how it is seeded right now. Up to this point Memphis has earned the 8th seed. We haven't.

And now they get to tout how great of a person he is off the court even more with his covid-19 response. This kid is amazing.

And how would they handle the draft lottery?

I don't see why that would be any different.

To me the biggest deal is that not everyone has played the same amount of games at this point. Portland has played 66 games while the Pels have played 64 for example.

Do you seed the playoffs, tournament, and lottery in order of winning percentage, or figure out a way to get everyone to the same number of games played?

The bottom 6-8 teams aren't going anywhere so I don't think the lottery would change much. The rest of the teams would just fall into order after play in tournament, playoffs, etc...
