I don't really care," Davis told ESPN of James' comments Wednesday night after the Pelicans' 123-115 loss to the Bucks. "Obviously it's cool to hear any high-caliber player say they want to play with me. But my job is to turn this team around. If we're 15-17, that means I'm not doing my job."

Maybe that'll at least halfway shut up ESPN. Probably not.

He is at least outwardly making the right comments.

I’d also think he isn’t going the Chris Paul route and trying to force his way out because we haven’t seen a Chris Broussard type start claiming multiple sauces about AD wanting out.

He may eventually want out but he isn’t obviously mailing it in like CP3 was toward the end.

Who could actually blame him if he wanted to leave. He was sharing the floor with Tim Frazier, Solomon Hill and Kenrich Williams tonight.

It’s becoming a joke

yea Chrissy was a little bitch. I hope AD can go to a contender, he deserves it. AD really wanted to win a championship but we have the worst GM in the league who surrounded him with garbage most years...

Who's fault is that? Are we supposed to have 12 starting players at all times??

We were missing 3 of our top 6 guys, that's hard for any team to deal with. How good would GS be if they were missing Curry, Green and Klay?

Injuries happen, theres not much you can do about it.

This team is obviously affected by the distraction of losing their best player and leader. The Pels actually played better when AD was off the floor last night. Gentry is clueless how to handle this team, all he knows is how to coach offense. When healthy, this team can be formidable. These distractions caused by the media can end if AD tells his agent to keep his name out if the news.

We need to bring someone in to handle rotations and to teach Gentry how. That is the one area we are lacking in.

It can also end if AD would have taken the opportunity to respond to LBJ by saying he should have come to NOLA if he wanted to play with me. Because the real problem in why the Pels continue to struggle is they, AD, Gentry, Demps NOLA in general has yet to be able to draw top tier talent to surround AD with.

thank you

The fact that AD even bothered to respond to this nonsense shows he cares more than all the naysayers complain he does. Remember all the rumors about CP3 running rampant with nothing on the CP3 front?

I’m telling yall. Keep acting like adolescent, petulant idiots, and you will only hurt the cause. Then AD’s only emotional reason to stay is for the Pels orginization (owners, FO, players) as the city itself has clearly turned its back on him.

That's true, but they're harder to overcome when you're playing players who aren't even good enough to be role players a lot of minutes. We're doing that.

What?

That makes no sense. AD and his group have literally done nothing to get the media in a frenzy. AD's agent can't stop Lebron from commenting or the media from talking about it, what are you talking about? You think AD's agent controls the media?

lol no that wouldn't stop it.

AD said last night that he didn't care what Lebron thought...and they ran an article about it.

I do thank AD and respect him for fighting his arse off and trying to win games for us as long as he can, but the fact of the matter is it's ok if he requests a trade. He's been here for quite a long time and he hasn't won shite, and never will. Like someone pointed out earlier, when you're AD, and you're playing with the likes of Wesley Johnson, Solomon Hill, Tim Frazier etc. several minutes a game, I can't blame you for being pissed. He have some horrific players.

So, what do you think the difference is? Do you think the Nuggets roster is better, top to bottom, than the Pelicans? If AD was on the Nuggets and losing, couldn't you make the same claim that is being made about his teammates here? Is it coaching then?

So when he was off the floor last night the team forgot about losing AD?

Outside of AD and Jrue, the whole team should have been embarrassed about how bad they were defensively. Not even counting when giannis went to the basket but even when somebody else drove inside last night they just stepped out of the way. If this team improved just a little on defense and starting taking better shot by not thinking we are the Warriors, we would be a good team. Seems like gentry might try and help with that.

How many teams besides GS and Toronto have a TRUE superstar and are as deep as Denver??

When you have a superstar you are inclined to enter win now mode. We messed up front the day we drafted AD by entering win now mode rather than holding on to our picks and drafting smart and making smart veteran signings.

Yes, they have much more depth than we do. We have guys like Solo sometimes logging 25+ minutes(other guys too getting rotational minutes) that really just aren't rotation guys.

The Nuggets have 3 guys out, but have enough depth to still have guys who are good enough to be 15-20 minute rotation guys with or without those injuries, so they can withstand injuries a lot easier than we can.

If we take both teams 100% healthy and played a 7 game series, I'd like the Pels chances. But over the course of an 82 game season, that lack of depth will catch up to you, especially when we continue to seem to have a crazy run of bad injury luck every season.

As I recall Boogie was acquired via trade, and left as soon as his contract was up.

How is that convincing top tier talent to sign in NOLA?

ETA: Rondo was a decent signing but again He Left.
I guess if your desperate you could say the re-signed Holiday but that's not the same thing is it?
