AD and USA basketball

Anyone know the deal with AD not participating in the USA basketball mini camp that’s happening right now? Is he not on the roster? Can he not participate because of the injury a few years back that caused him to sit out from Team USA?

This year’s Minicamp seems like a pretty minor event.

Yeah, I think they only get all the A-Listers to show up when the Olympics are coming around.

Russ and PG are there.....
But so is Doug McDermott.

So is Durant.
This camp is meaningless, though.

Probably just getting a well deserved rest. I don’t think this camp would benefit him as much this year as it did earlier in his career. I’d rather him sit at home and avoid injury than pal around with guys like Durant and learn senseless liberal dichotomy from Popovich bc that’s the only thing he focuses on these days.

Anthony Davis just arrived. He's watching USAB practice with Kyrie Irving, who is still recovering from his injury, and Russell Westbrook, who isn't participating today.

That escalated quickly.

Hang with Russ and Kyrie all day please. Two dudes who need to be alphas.

It’s my truth. Pop doesn’t have much to offer anymore and nba stars are a cesspool of misguided bad attitudes these days. I don’t want any of these clowns in AD’s ear about anything.

AD is a great player and he’s got an incredible team mindset. Being around the guys at this camp is not going to improve him in any way. The only thing they can do is infect AD with their overly inflated and sensitive on and off court egos and/or taking the easy way out mentalities. As a fan of the New Orleans Pelicans, I don’t want AD around any of that garbage unless it’s to go win a gold medal. Also Popovich is on the decline and has absolutely nothing to offer AD at this point other than maybe using the camp as a way to dissect AD’s strengths and weaknesses and use it against him in the regular season. The best way for AD to improve this summer is to work on his own individual skill development and maybe work with Hakeem Olajuwon on some low post moves.

Pop is on the decline because why?

Are we talking about basketball or politics here?!?

So you don’t want AD practicing with the best players in world and learning from probably the best head coach of all time because they are democrats?!? WTF?!?
You do know most of the league are liberal based on the fact that they are open minded to all cultures and races.

AD is the 2nd best player in that camp behind Durant and I certainly don’t want him learning anything on or off the floor from Durant. They are 2 different style players. Durant is a finesse mid range jump shot chucker. AD would do poorly if he tried to emulate Durant’s play. He’s not gonna learn anything of substance from anyone there that he can’t learn from his own teammates and/or coaches. Sure, I know the league is full of democrats and liberals. It’s ironic that this is team USA as most of these guys indirectly hate American values because they support a party that works extremely hard everyday to strip everyday American’s from basic freedoms and limit capitalistic endeavors. Also, Popovich went out of his way to talk politics last year even while his team was struggling. His focus and attention seems to be lacking these days. It’s not an Olympic year. AD can certainly spend his time in a more effective manner this offseason and that is undebatable.

Yeah man we come from different worlds then .

You need to go watch that 1 on 1 video that was posted a few days ago, that you can find anywhere. Shows Durant, PG, Oladipo, Booker and Myles Turner, maybe a few others take turns playing 1 on 1 from the elbow as Kyrie pretends to do something by passing them the ball each time.
That's something AD needs to doing, b/c late in games, that's exactly what ends up happening, and you need that closer to hit those types of shots. You get the switch and you never know who's going to be on you, but you have 5 seconds left on the shot clock b/c the called play didn't work and you have to go 1 on 1, and this happens constantly at end of games all season long.

I know right. I don’t understand anything Garden of Asik is taking about. From a basketball and Humanity point of view.
