It’s perfectly possible to be a fan of the Pels and AD and be a fiscal and social conservative. Anyway, I brought this thread off the tracks so I’ll keep that political aspect to myself from now on. End of the day, on this board, I’m about as big of a Pels and AD fan as anyone. I just don’t want AD to get distracted. I cannot stand most of the basketball mentalities of other superstars in the league, whether it’s being a selfish ball hog like Russell EastLake, or forcing trades due to egotistical issues like George, Irving, Kawhi or constantly looking to take the easy way out like Durant, Cp3, Cousins. I don’t want AD to become like these guys, because as of right now, he’s extremely likeable.

Let's go down the list of all the great Republican NBA players....

Let's examine the politicical atomsphere of New Orleans...

Let's determine what this has to do with the price of tea in China.

I don’t really care about the political aspect of things. I only brought it up because Pop is more concerned about that than basketball these days and I think that has caused him to lose some juice as a coach. I know the nba is one of the most liberal groups of people in America. I’m over it. I just don’t like the general attitude or character makeup of 90% of the superstars in the Nba. I’d rather keep AD away from that and have him spend his offseason spending time with high character guys like Jrue Holiday, getting acclimated with new teammates Elfrid and Julius, etc. He can play these same 1 on 1 drills in New Orleans with his teammates. It doesn’t matter if you practice against Durant. He’s gonna make that mid range shot 75% of the time no matter what you do.

Yes I agree! Being conservative is completely independent from being a basketball fan. If anything liberal and conservatives can and should actually be able to come together because of similar interests in basketball. Sports should bring people together and not separate them. But You can’t get sensitive when you’re the minority with your political opinions. That’s really being a snowflake when you say things with no background that you can’t defend than get upset and name call when people call you out on it.

SAS made the playoffs with THAT roster last year. Come on now. It was Lemarcus Aldridge and then a cliff to #2, and LMA isn’t even a great #1.

Every TD board is obsessed with politics, it seems.
