Might have been their only play. The nationals like Spears and Stein didn't bite, having a story about Oden to the Pelicans coming from Miami looks suspicious, and the TP typically refuses to break news. BSS is next in the media food chain of places to plant this.

I wonder if the Bucks releasing Slava Kravtsov will throw another possible wrench into things. He's a big, that's very much cheaper that showed promise last season with Detroit. May make teams re-assess with the dollar amount being different IMO.

Of course I don't know that, I've never claimed to have sources. Do you have a better explanation for what we've seen over the past month? The media doesn't get its stories because the sources like them so much. Nearly every story exists because the source has an angle.
