said it before and its a pretty common explanation.
I follow Shaq... so I followed the teams he played with Magic, Lakers, Heat..etc
I follow LeBron, so I follow the teams he plays with..
Not really locked in a glued to a franchise that they play for.
I root for the "home teams"... Pels, Saints, Astros.
Pretty simple concept.

It's awesome because, in a normal year, even with our playoff aspirations, we'd have a few idiots in here saying that we should tank for Wembanyama and rooting for us to lose. Having swap rights with the Lakers means that we can all just root for the Pelicans to win and the Lakers to lose.
