Remains to be seen.
The only thing going right for the Lakers last night was the turnover ratio. Every other metric I saw was godawful for them.

I only said they are shooting 19/85 thru the first 2 games... I mean take that for whatever it is.
In no way should any basketball team at any level from Elementary to Pro would be competitive if they shot like that.

Most sports fans don't pay attention to NBA Basketball until Christmas Day, hence the "season doesn't start til then" mindset that majority of people who pay attention to sports follow.

what the fans do has nothing to do with the players and the actual games being played… if we go .500 in our first 20 games last year, we are in a completely different position for the playoffs

They’ve missed almost 70 3 point shots in two games. Woof.

Interesting angle...
I come from a high basketball IQ program... we can't play at the level as other programs who play above the rim or run and gun... do the things you are good at, and put yourself in a situation to succeed and compete, don't try and be like other teams.
The NBA in 2022 is soft and sad.
Watching Embid the other night finally get in the post and do a move and he "elbows" someone as he is making a basketball move towards the goal... the guy falls to the ground as if hes dead and stops play for 15 min. They have to review the play as if it was on purpose and it results in a no call. All on a left landed layup
Yacking up 3s and the refs not knowing how to officiate the post game has ruined the game... just need to find some balance in it.

Agree. Whenever team is just launching threes it’s a boring product. Especially in the regular season when defensive effort is minimal. Sadly both basketball and baseball have been tragically homogenized by analytics and the result is a more boring style of play from pretty much everyone.
TL/DR - the lakers as constructed suck and everyone saw this coming. If they don’t get bailed out by a tanker it’s top 10 town again for the pelicans.
