Not that I think it matters as the NBA draft is very wishy/washy nowadays if you dont have lottery picks it is meh...
Top 3-5 maybe, it's a crap shoot after that. I'd rather 2 picks in the late teens than a top 5-10 pick. More chances and cheaper contracts..

The shittier the lakers get the better it is for Nola. It’s not just schadenfreude. It’s a direct impact on the Nola team’s future. That Pels fans are following the Lakers FO performance closely just shows that they know what’s up. Lakers fans that don’t get this are just stereotypical front running casuals.

or they just dont care because they cannot benefit currently from anyone within the draft

Point guard who can’t shoot threes and plays shaky defense. Perfect.

Another mercurial attitude to fight over Westbrook's mintues

Schroeder is a poster child for guys who bet on themselves then had the roulette wheel hit 00.
Bridges from Charlotte is another big one recently. He’d have made a ton of money if he could have kept his shite together off the court. Otherwise, signing an extension could have kept him from being completely unemployed.

They're supporting cast is so bad it's an upgrade, but it's certainly not moving the needle at all.

They are separating themselves from the pack*.
* - That pack is OKC, Houston, San Antonio, and Utah

What happens if its not a lottery
its an option to swap.
lottery is not a word in the deal.
example. pels finish in 6th seed at 48 wins.
Los Angeles finishes in 11th with 36 wins.
looking at whole league pels are picking 20th and lakers have the 9th pick.
the pels choose to swap.
lakers pick 20th.
pels get the 9th at least. the 9th pick may hit on a top 4 lottery pick.
if LeBron and Davis each misses 30 games the pick may be a great lottery pick.

What makes the Lakers/Westbrook debacle more sweet is that it could actually work. Or at least much better than it has. All that would have to happen is Westbrick adopting a Josh Hart mentality and work on his jumper religiously. Fortunately for us neither will happen. Imagine a super Josh Hart, that would be a winning player instead of THE most invaluable player in the NBA

Westbrook doesn’t fit the mentality of the lakers stars. The guy goes at 100% all the time even when to his detriment. Look at LeBron and Davis now and both coast continuously and half arse it until the playoffs if they make it.
That was the one thing you could never question with Westbrook. His all out nature is what makes him great. It is also what causes him to do stupid stuff at times like force up shots he has no business taking.
Ironically, Carmelo was a better personality fit for these Lakers.

He only plays hard when the ball is in his hands. If he doesn't have the ball, he's a statue on offense. He doesn't screen, he doesn't cut, he does nothing. And his effort on defense is also nonexistent.

Seems the Lakers know Heild/Turner aren't making them a title contender.
