Yep...
Will be interesting to see what they take into Camp....
Not saying this team will win a championship, but this team will be in contention no doubt... I've gone on the record I believe on this board (diff thread obv)... but said the next championship the Lakers win will be because of AD not LeBron..... but he's got to tap into this PRIME.... he continues to take steps forward, but then many steps back.... its the new NBA we are in I GET IT... but these guys just have to grind it out.
Not making the "playoffs" and having a full off season + some to "rest" should bold well for LeBron and AD... Kyrie is finally healthy?? He's just in the "weird space"...so can see some wokeness coming out... LA will also be a playground for him to explore some of that. We shall see... Kyrie has never left that East Coast bubble so for him to switch coasts will be an interesting time in his life.

They won the Mickey Mouse ring because their defense was very good. Name a plus defender on their roster outside of AD
They are a playoff team (maybe even play-in team 6-10) if they ship out Westbrook and get back Kyrie, but I don't see them as any sort of favorite though.

Vegas favorite? Possibly if only because idiots will bet on them.
Actual favorite? LOL, no. Only teams in the west getting much worse as of now is San Antonio.

I’ll take unders on that all day and for the rest of ADs career.

The Lakers are in a tier with the Trail blazers, Jazz, and Kings IMO.
I also think they are closer to a tier with the Thunder, Rockets, and Spurs than the big 8.

So what are the Lakers going to do when Kyrie, Lebron and AD are off the court?
Their depth is so bad that they will be ran off the court by most teams benches they are that bad.
They would almost be better staggering minutes with Kyrie. I dont see how you are going to get any scoring with the rest of those guys

If they get Kyrie then they have a chance to make the playoffs.
They aren’t getting close to the Pels, Clippers, Warriors, or Nuggets at full strength. Grizzlies/ Timberwolves can out play them. The 2 ? this year are the Suns and Mavs. I still think both of those teams are better than the Lakers.

Suns may regress a bit without Ayton but not to play-in levels.
Mavs? Who knows? Luka is Luka but the rest of that roster is underwhelming.

Thats a huge if... and if any sort of mandate gets reinstated bye bye kyrie

The Suns and Mavs could take a hit on their bench/ core this year. The Suns without Ayton and Mavs without Brunson will be interesting. CP3 also isn’t getting younger and I don’t think any teams are scared of the Suns anymore. Some teams have already passed them at full strength. Christian Wood could be good or bad. I also think the Grizzlies slip a little bit after their insane year.

Pels looking at that swap if LAL doesn't land Kyrie

A healthy Pels, Nuggets, Clippers, Timberwolves, and Trailblazers will be a menace to teams at the top that had some easy wins last year. It’s going to be the Wild West this year.

Ironically, I would call this a "huge if" as well --- anywhere outside of California
