Nance for KCP keeps us right at $1M under the tax. Not sure why Washington does that though, unless we give them some 2nds, which i'm fine with.
KCP is non-guaranteed next year. Nance is fully guaranteed next year. If Washington is blowing it up, i'm sure they'll want cap space.
Nance for Huerter is very difficult for us now that we don't have the TPE to absorb Huerters PP salary. We can send out Nance to them for Huerter and it's ok for us, but the Hawks would still need to send out a little over $5M to make it happen, and we would not have the room under the tax to take that salary in, so someone like Knox would have to get sent somewhere else in the deal, and OKC is open to taking anything.

Completely agree with all Teddy

I honestly think Griffin wants Nance. I do not think he is looking to move him. I would guess we are done unless someone enticing becomes available that we cannot pass up. That would likely be a smaller contract or involve Graham.

Yeah, in another thread i suggested sending Nance out in the Philly/Nets deal and Philly sending a 1st to Atlanta on our behalf and we take Huerter.
Seems like the only way to make that happen since we don't have the TPE.

I do too.
I think he sees him as the guy we'll keep going forward, and he hopes Jax gets to the point where we can send him out and get a much better return than we would for Nance.
I would be looking for Nance/Kira trade in the offseason for that backup SG, and keeping Jax. Although we are going to have a problem in 2024 when we have 3 guys making $30M+, and we have to give Jax a new contract, but the salary cap is expect to grow significantly over the next few years, so maybe it's not that bad.

Why is Harden dying to leave another team? What does he actually want?
Posted on 2/9/22 at 11:04 am to DannyDevito
He wants to be "the man" like he was in Houston.

He realizes the 76ers are Embiid’s team right?
Posted on 2/9/22 at 11:07 am to DannyDevito
It's more than that. He can't take criticism and deflects blame. It something that followed his career since OKC.

If you think about it, keeping Nance is a no brainer especially if Williamson continues to be injury riddled. He's a nice insurance policy as he's a guy who is a good bench guy with the ability to start in spots. This might be the deepest and most balanced team we have in the Griffin era. For the first time, I don't feel like we are fielding a crater behind Williamson and Ingram.

How long before he's screaming to be out of Philly if he's traded there?
Posted on 2/9/22 at 11:16 am to CP3forMVP
Right after they extend him.

I’ve read the opposite. That he’s pissed that the Big 3 in Brooklyn has been limited by injuries and Kyries medical freedom. That he doesn’t want to carry the load as much, & he’s being forced to.

Yeah thats what I've read as well.
Tired of Kyrie's bullshite and basically having to carry the team like Houston.

We tried to trade for him last year, so I think that's a safe bet.

I would be too. Durant or Harden might not have wanted to get the vaccine either, who knows, but they did. It just makes Kyrie seem like a bum that is just looking for an excuse to not play as many games and let the others do the work for you. No way i'd want to try and be a different player every other night just to accommodate the needs of another diva.

Or, alternatively, one of those teams wants to downplay it

I dunno, if Woj is saying it's not happening, that's a pretty big statement by him.
