That’s nice if they think they can win a championship this year without him anyway.

If they do that, then maybe the endgame would be to flip those picks and young players for Dame in the Offseason or next trade deadline. Beal could be an option too, if the Wizards take a slide backwards.

Graham ain't a 6th man in skillset or mentality. He can shoot but he's no a scorer who you give the ball to and let him dictate the game. That's never been his game. NAW is the closest thing to a 6th man type but he can't buy a bucket most of the time.

No he's not Clarkson or Barton or Lou or Crawford, but it's not like all 30 teams have a guy like that.
Graham is a great backup PG that can score, and he's proven he can do that against 2nd units, and he's better suited for that role. I'm pretty certain we signed him with the intent of him being our bench scorer in the future, not our starting PG. If you bring in a 3rd guy like Fox, then the 2nd unit will always have one of the 3 stars playing with them, likely Zion, and we saw how effective he was against 2nd units. Trey Murphey needs to step up and be a contributor off the bench next year, but if he's struggling this much right now, i have my doubts about him even though i still like his potential.

You're right, he's a quality backup. But I don't ever see him as a 6th man type with his limitations. He's not good near the basket, weak floater game, his best off the dribble jumpshot is off a pull up within 20-22ft.

Outside of that, his biggest strength is off the catch and shoot. His off the dribble shots behind the arc isn't consistent enough to be deadly. His inability to get easy shot/buckets really hurts his efficiency.

If your team has multiple ball handlers/scorers, he's an ideal guy coming off the bench.

In a world where JV, Ingram, and Zion eat up 40-45 attempts a game; you need someone like him who can take 8-10 shots, knock down 37%+ from 3, and every now and then bring it up to set up the other guys.

Morey has always had a mild case of Ainge syndrome: he refuses to “lose” a trade even to his own detriment.

Not surprised. He's already looking forward to his next pay day. Sending him to the Sixers would be the Denver situation all over again for him and it hurts his earning potential with a lesser role. Grant doesn't care about winning championships. His motivation is money. He's going to be happy on mediocre teams as long as he is featured and paid well.

precisely; he fit on contending teams as a 3&D piece (more than that; more like a 3rd or 4th scorer) who was efficient yet didn't get asked to do much.

Now he's putting up 20PPG, shooting abysmal %s and wants to be paid star-level money

Denver, Boston and San Antonio are making a three-way trade that includes Juancho Hernangomez to Spurs, Bryn Forbes to Denver, Bol Bol and PJ Dozier to Celtics, sources tell ESPN.

Agreed. Forbes is a nice bench guard.

SA fans tell me Forbes sucks defensively and Pop has a logjam of guards.

Now I'm curious if there's picks involved because Hernangomez is pretty much useless.

We need to find a way to get in on that. And unlike a lot of teams that aren’t actually bottoming out, Indy wants picks. Maybe Hart or Graham and 2 picks to Indy and Fox to Nola?

Yeah we definitely need to get in on it. Indy really has no use for Fox.

Off to the trade machine to see what works.

Indy: Sato, Graham, Hayes, 24 Pels 1st 24 Milwaukee 1st

Pels: Fox, Lamb, Holiday

Kings: Sabonis

Kings get their man without giving up anything more than Fox and save 10 million this year.

Indy gets 2 bench pieces that fit (Jax should learn alot from Turner), along with 2 picks and save 8.6 million this year

Pels get Fox and 2 other guys that should slot in well with the bench mob.

Unfortunately that would use up the TPE on Lamb and Holiday, but would be worth it I believe.
