He doesn’t know anything…

He’s been pumping different moves, but then those die and goes on to the next.

Lowe: "Pelicans have to be one of the big losers in FA. Gave up 2 picks to not get Lowry. Traded a 1st round pick + Lonzo for Graham, Satoransky, and Temple. To give up 3 picks and lose the best player in Lonzo… boy oh boy… it’s hard to look at this series of events and feel good about NOLA."

This is a thread title on NBA reddits first page.

I did not listen to Lowe's podcast but I cannot understand why people are so misleading to make points. The offseason could be critiqued without using hyperbole.
If you want to group all three trades like he did include all of the actual pieces.

Pels received

Jonas Valanciunas (1 year deal)
Devonte Graham
Tomas Satoransky
Garrett Temple
2021 Griz pick (#17 - Trey Murphy)

Pels sent out

Lonzo Ball (Restricted Free Agent, was not wanting to be here)
Eric Bledsoe (2 year deal)
Steven Adams (2 year deal)
2021 Pels pick (#10)
2022 Lakers pick (Top 10 protected)
2022 Pels pick (top 14 protected)

Also is Lonzo Ball better than JV? When did Lonzo become so great to these guys?

Gave up 3 picks? What? What is Lowe talking about?

I imagine Griff will eventually cave and send a 1st to Utah for Bogdonavic. He can't undo things so he has to make sure that the 2 1sts they spent with Memphis and Charlotte to go down this path bear some fruit.

Like I said I did not listen, but from that summary it seems he is doing the saints talk Davenport logic.

Yeah, I don't think he knows anything. Just wondering what his current angle was.

Griff also said that before they struck out on the top 5 or 6 free agents they wanted and the tier of 25 other free agents below them.

I think if Griff told the truth, he’d grade this free agency period as an F at the moment. Nothing has gone according to plan after they obtained extra cap room and overall flexibility from the Memphis deal.

We have over 2 years of data that suggests Griff is much more likely to make a bad move or no moves over the next 2 days than magically make a good one.

He’s just simply very bad at roster building and I don’t think he has good relationships across the league and the people he has/had relationships with either currently work for us or previously worked for us and didn’t go well.

This argument worked with last year's roster. This one makes a ton more sense and should be a winner.

Well sons, FA day 3 and all we have to show for it so far is devonte graham, didi, sato and Garrett temple. Really not looking good so far. Patience is seeming to be an exercise in futility.

Seems like best case scenarios at this point are buddy, Barnes, ingles, bogdonavic, nance in trades

Looks like an improved roster and a playoff team to me.

The tragedy of it is that he may have had a great plan, and a ton of guys that "showed interest" and really they were just using us and literally no one wants to come here unless forced.

And it all just fell apart. But that doesn't excuse him.

He still has time, really until late tomorrow evening to put it together.

After that we are kind of fricked.
He really has until the Memphis deal is finalized.

Just wait, they said. He's not done, they said. More moves to come, they said.

Memphis will likely insist on submitting the deal by Friday morning.

We still have time but I admit at this point, it does not look good at all. That could change in an instant.

Even the most optimistic bloggers are starting to have some unhappy rumblings.

The reality is that Griffin had major plans and they all failed

And now he's searching for any deal he can, and hoping he can wait out teams that need to dump some salary.

Really 2 and a pick swap, but he is basically saying that the reason we paid to get off of Adams and Bledsoe was to create the room to sign Lowry and we failed. As such, we had to give up the 2nd 1st to get Graham.

Possibly to get Zaire into summer league.
