Yeah I think that has potential for a 6 seed right there. I can get down with that team.

who is Bogi? Utah Bojan? b/c Utah wants to shed salary, not take back almost equal value.

Lakers, suns, nuggets, jazz, Dallas, Memphis, gsw…team has potential because we have Zion. If he takes another step forward as a facilitator and gets better on defense along with Ingram, like a lot better then yeah I can see around a 6 seed, but right now that roster with a rookie head coach, the unknown for me puts us behind all of those teams

While I do want to add a starting caliber elite shooter, this team doesn't need a ton of new talent to make the playoffs. It needs pieces that fit well around Zion and Ingram and can take advantage of all the attention they draw by knocking down open shots or smart off ball movement.

Yeah 6 would be about highest I could see with that roster. More likely 7-8 in reality but you never know. As a young team with some talent, their growth and getting rid of SVG could be a big swing. I'm honestly excited to see what Green can do.

They would save $6m in salary and a bunch in tax

Bogdanovic is $18m

Sato is $10m. Have throw Gabriel in there to make salary work unless. They also need a backup PG and just signed Rudy Gay to be their 4.

Again, don't know if that is fully legal per cap rules.

I think we can be on par or even slightly lead Dallas and Memphis.

I think on talent alone that roster is enough to make the playoffs. We need to be greatly improved at closing games out, and most of that leans on Zion and BI. We blew way too many games last year, and having two all-stars should be enough surrounded by experienced NBA players.

Honestly just removing Bledsoe alone will net us a few extra wins.

The whole point of the Memphis deal is so the Pels can take on more salary. We are using Memphis as a dumping ground for salary other teams wouldn't want back. Utah can send a player to the Pels through the Memphis deal without taking anything back.

I was thinking of them as separate trades. Doesn't matter anyway, can't aggregate salary with Satoransky. So it would have to be a one-for-one swap.

It could be if the Jazz wanted to do a Bogdonavic/Sato swap. Sending Bogdonavic to us through the Memphis deal would get them a trade exception which they could then use in a separate trade for Satoransky.

You don't think that's a playoff team?

Got shooting and some good defenders. Seems like a solid team to me.

pels will have two new starters.
new coaching staff.

pels in hope mode that the young players improve some element.

you can not expect smooth offensive operations or well coordinated defenses from guys just starting together. therefore .500 ball the first month will be a miracle.
it takes better than .500 ball to get 6th.
memphis was 8th 38w 34l. 4 games over .500

the 7 10 scrum is most likely.
it will be exciting.
enjoy the ride.
all the other most likely 6 to 11th teams are a sprained knee to a star away from missing the scrum.
the lakers dropped like a stone from top tier to the playin after davis was injured.
so it's not just solidifying the styles and integration of new guys.
anything can happen.
gsw needs klay. hes nowhere near ready.
wtf is up with porzingas?
if hes 100% dallas could earn a home series.
lakers are now the betting favorite to take nba championship.
gsw is 4th after nets and bucks.

He's getting bought out and signing with the Knicks

He had huge money left. I imagine he left a LOT of money on the table, no way OKC paid all that out.

The National Media is just BURYING us this morning. An absolute assault on all levels.

We knew after last offseason if we didn't have a good one this offseason it would come, the fire would become an inferno.

Griffin's lack of urgency is leading to this PR hit.

Dragic is a fricking shell. If you thought Bledsoe at 18M was bad, imagine a broken down Dragic at 19M

THIS...it doesn't matter what we do the next season, it will all be framed in the context of how Griff was shellshocked and didn't make the big moves to appease Zion. We may wind up as the 6 seed and when we lose in the first round, the narrative won't be about a young team learning to win, but that Zion can't get the help he needs in New Orleans and needs to force his way out to a bigger market. It is literally exactly what happened with AD.
