Paranoid is so good. Crazy it came out 44 years ago.

Fairies wear boots and electric funeral used to be two of mine also, but I wore them out listening to the whole paranoid album over and over so I eventually favored others.

I have to pick at least four, and it's really hard to limit it to just that many.

The Thrill Of It All
Spiral Architect
The Writ
A Hard Road

Looks like you went with the favorite from different front men. No disrespect to the other guys but to me, Ozzy is the voice of Sabbath.

Negative, the Dio era was Black Sabbath at its peak lyric wise and sound. Don't get me wrong Ozzy was great but Heaven and Hell/ Mob Rules were two of the greatest albums ever made.

Eh, if there's no Ozzy at the beginning I don't think Sabbath would have been around long enough for Dio to be in it. I love Dio but Ozzy is the voice of Sabbath IN MY MIND

War Pigs
Wicked World
Paranoid

I remember reading an L.A. Times interview with Ozzy in like 1971 or so. The interviewer obviously hated the band, and he asked Ozzy something like, "You realize don't you, that kids come to your concerts mainly to get totally wasted?"

To which Ozzy, replied (paraphrasing here), "Yeah ... and the problem with that is? ..."

Spoken like a true degenerate. Love the old Sabs!

Listening to a concert from Aug 6th of '75 right now. Don't know if it's a bootleg or what, but damn what a hell of a band. The strength of their later Ozzy led output is stunning (Technical Ecstasy aside). One of the main things that sets Sabbath apart from me is how they don't sound dated. Lots of bands from that time sound like it. Sabbath had something special. Their songwriting was a cut above the rest.

Exactly on the not being dated. Paranoid is 43 or so years old and definitely doesn't sound like some put out right after the sixties
