Jason was wearing a red satin cowboy shirt and a leopard pattern cowboy hat.
Quite a sight.

I credit Jason with getting me into alternative music. I had been listening to different stuff but I didn't really love anything. But I had a country background.....Waylon, Merle, Hank Jr, David Alan Coe......and when I heard Jason it all clicked

I used to tell people that Jason and the Scorchers were what country rock should have been.

Hirsch got most of the big tours coming through back in the 70’s-90’s. When rock music was king.

Man they were good live, hard. Opened with the best cover of 19th Nervous Breakdown I ever heard.

Dad took me to see Kansas and Styx when I was 9 or 10. He wanted to see them and wanted me to experience a concert.

Wife now works for a large venue and we can go to any show for free. I remember how that stuck with me, so we take my kids quite often. Not even really a fan of Styx or anything, but my son has seen them like 4 times just because it was my first concert. It's been awesome to go with him and my dad to some of the groups my dad took me too as a kid.

What's with the Canyon in your quoted posts?

I saw Jason at The Texas Club. Small arse crowd but the show was great. He tried to break up a fight with his mic stand.

By the time I was 15 I had seen Thin Lizzy twice, UFO twice, ZZ Top twice, Iron Maiden (first US tour,) Van Halen on their first tour, BOC, Nazareth x 2, Rush, Ted Nugent, ELO, Eagles and many I'm forgetting.

You and I were probably at a lot of the same shows. Kiss, Mott, Utopia are a few more as well.

That BOC show in about 1975 was amazing.
