This.

Think broadcast tv vs. cable tv.

Because you pay privately for satellite radio.

Same as you pay for HBO

because it's paid for privately, its not FCC regulated. And because something is free, means it has to be regulated? I still think its dumb rationale.

Yes. Because it isn't free, it is paid for by advertisements. Advertisers like to keep cuss words away from their company the majority of the time.

How can you honestly be complaining that something provided to you for free is censored...this isn't 1994 and Twisted Sister is in fisticuffs with Mrs. Gore.

The FCC and the fact that this nation is full of uptight fundies that think it's not right for kids to hear "bad" words.

It's pretty simple. You pay for the premium satellite radio while FM radio is free. The FCC can't regulate satellite radio.

Because it is a pay service, like cable/HBO.

Ask the Social Conservatives, its okay to see blood and gore on the news and TV, but heaven forbid you see an exposed breast or hear the word "frick".

I wish we would just do away with "curse" words, they are just words. I said "stupid" the other day, and a kid said "oh that's a bad word"

I'm sticking to Bollocks and Meekrob.

quite easily.

And it isn't advertisers, it's the government.
