It has nothing to do with the quality of his songs and everything to do with the fact that they actually do have substance.
He doesn't write pop music so pop radio isn't likely to pick him up

I'm just playing Devil's advocate here...if a song has neither a melody nor a harmony, it is essentially just spoken...which is clearly not the case with any of the songs posted. Just my 2 cents.

to argue that, if something about him caught anyones eye, theyd pay him big bucks. its just the nature of business, man. if you're good at what you do, money comes. don't act like it doesn't.
im starting to wonder if these guys are just too hard headed and would rather make no money then just take a check, life a nice life and DGAF who sings their songs.
