Who was the most unneeded member of a group?

You know, Larry of the Three Stooges has been said to be unnecessary, but it would not be the same without him. Well, using that as the premise, which people were in groups but really served no purpose?

Ronnie Devoe New Edition
Left Eye TLC: They started getting away from her rapping, and she was crazy; ask Andre Rison. However, her life was taken too soon.

I know someone will say Ringo, but when you have John and Paul, what is he really supposed to do?

I’m pretty sure you know he means Jannick Gers. Don’t try to get technical. Are you referring to Adrian Smith returning for Brave New World? And he’s right…I love Maiden more than anyone but Gers was not needed after Smith returned.
