That wasn't the cover to Weezer's Blue Album?

Absolutely loved that comp. I oscillate on whether that’s my favorite Pavement song ever. The American Music Club, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, and Uncle Tupelo songs are nothing short of great.

That's a great compilation. I always thought the Goo Goo Dolls sucked, but they did a great cover of Bitch.
One of the MTV shows (probably 120 Minutes) did a special when the album came out that had several of the bands performing live. I know Soul Asylum and the Goo Goo Dolls were on it. I'm sure the videos exist on YouTube. Apparently, Pavement were asked to perform and Michael Stipe said he wanted to dance on stage while they did their song, which kind of freaked them out.

You probably know, but that entire song is an homage to REM.

I loved the Sappy version of Verse Chorus Verse that was on there. One of Nirvana's best song IMO.

I was trying to remember how it was listed on the cd track list, so I just pulled my old No Alternative cd. It’s not listed at all. It was a “hidden track” that was the rage for awhile back then.

Absolute fire compilation. My favorites were Matthew Sweet, Soul Asylum, Uncle Tupelo, and Beastie Boys.

I thought the song was called Verse Chorus Verse, until that Nirvana box set came out about 20 years ago and it was labeled Sappy and Verse Chorus Verse was a different song entirely.

That was so cool. My first copy of Nevermind was one of the few that didn't have the hidden track and was rarer. Which I still had it.

Yep, still have it along with a crap ton of other CDs.

I forget the guys name rt now but on my way home from work the DJ on 92.3 played the nirvana song off this album.
Wonder if he saw this post.

Glynis is my favorite Pumpkins song.

That's what introduced me to Buffalo Tom, and I've loved them since.

There was a great interview with the lead singer of Buffalo Tom a few years ago. He retired from the music biz to become a Realtor in Massachusetts. I think they do gigs in the summer when their kids are out of school. I always like hearing these stories about what musicians do to pay the bills.

I bought it for the Nirvana song.

OP is the man. I’ve probably listened to Glynis over 100 times in the last week
