I would like do so this summer. Just looking for some insight from posters who may have already had the chance.

I've seen 12-15 shows at RR. Great place.
Try and sit mid-level down or the wind can play havoc with the sound.

I've seen a show at Red Rocks. One of the greatest venues on earth.

Went a few summers ago. It's easily the best venue I've been to.
The view is spectacular, and it has a nice sound. You go there more for the experience than anything. I recommend it to anyone.

I've seen more shows at Red Rocks than anywhere else, by far. It's got to be the best music venue on Earth. Bands love playing there and I think play better because of it. The fans are great and create a lot of energy that the bands feed on. It sounds amazing unless it's really windy.
One word of advice: pack rain gear.

Seen Phish, Panic, The Allman's, Willie, Neil Young and Primus there. Best venue in the world. Nothing compares to it.

I go to 4ish shows a season. Park in upper north lot. Get there a few hours early and tailgate, you can bring a grill, coolers, cornhole/bags, etc. Bring a rain shell just in case, but you'll likely be able to leave it in your car before you actually walk in. get a spot in the lower half. If it's an all GA show, the crowd pushes down once the show starts and you'll end up many rows lower than where you claim a spot before showtime because the rows can pack in a couple of people deep.

Saw Karla Bonoff opening for America there 3 decades ago. Bonoff was excellent and the acoustics were clear as could be. America were wasted and forgot the lyrics to "Horse With No Name" and just quit in mid song and stumbled off the stage.
Great venue though.

I'd think I've seen 20 concerts there. It's my favorite venue, especially when the weather is perfect and you can see the lights in the distance and the crowd is into the show.
