What I love is Roger McGuinn got maybe 5 years worth of career out of The Byrds, while Tom Petty got 40+ out of imitating him

Fun fact: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were playing the Memphis bar circuit while I was a Jr. and Sr. in high school. After a year or two at LaTech the radio suddenly started talking/playing this new L.A. band just released. Yep, TP and the HB.
