The first 2 Sponge albums are greatness. We saw Sponge on the 2nd stage at Lollapalooza 96 in New Orleans for about 2 songs & they killed it despite being obviously coked out of their minds. We had to leave their set on the 2nd stage to go see Rage Against the Machine on the main stage. First world problems.

There's so many good ones to choose from, but if I had to choose, this would be mine.

Y’all got it covered in here with Spacehog, the Flys, Toadies, and Verve Pipe.

I’d like to submit: Marvelous 3 - Freak of the Week

Cannonball - The Breeders

Good call. They had so many really good songs but this was probably the only one that charted.

By far it's "Laid" by James.

The 90s was the best decade for one hit wonders. There are dozens. A few more that I love:

Abra Moore- 4 leaf clover

Duncan Sheik- Barely Breathing

Luscious Jackson- Naked Eye

Alana Davis- 32 Flavors

Just a few of many.

Fastball's "The Way".

Love the post-Beatlie / Badfinger / Raspberries vibe to it.

Letters to Cleo has two hits, Blind Melon has 3, Marcy Playground has 3, Toadies has 4, and Spacehog has 4. You will be hard pressed to find many true "One Hit Wonders" using all these charts.
I have never heard a second song from Blind Melon, Letters To Cleo, The Toadies or Spacehog. I have heard many Marcy Playground songs. I heard

Man, that's a close second to mine- There She Goes - The La's. I always thought Kevin did a great job with laid. Better Than Ezra

Edited for clearer version.

Blind Melon had a pretty decent catalogue for their short run, love their cover of The Pusher.. always cool to hear Shannon on the Use Your Illusion albums, too.. also crazy that they recorded the last Blind Melon album in Nola and I think he was found dead on the bus before a show at Tips.. I still remember 100.7 the Tiger announcing it, crazy shite

Toadies are like the Better Than Ezra version of Dallas/Northeast Texas, very good live and Rubberneck is a great album.. the follow up was pretty solid as well, their other albums are a bit hit and miss.. them & Rev Horton Heat at Tips next month should be a good show

You picked the one that came to mind when I read the thread title, so I am now going with Cibo Matto- Stereo Type A.

Know Your Chicken was a major hit among the poultry community though

also, that's an album not a song...
