I saw STS9 a couple of times during Phish's hiatus from 04-09. Whole lotta meh

Been to several Phish sets as well as WSP, Umphree's, Disco, Bassnectar, PL, Cheese, yadda yadda yadda.

STS9 is still by far my favorite show. I ask because there are some Phish guys that absolutely HATE Tribe, like absolute hatred. Never understood why.

Can definitely understand this. I can listen to them too, but that's just my taste I guess. Never understood Phish fan's ire, though.

They hate tribe because tribe isn't phish.......

It's absolutely the truth. Phish fans don't like jam music. They like phish, the grateful dead and MAYBE the Allman brothers.....

Saw them at the varisty back in 2011. It was my 21st and I was a little out of it, but I thought they sounded pretty good.

Haven't heard them since, but I guess they have kinda crumbled

Are you me?
I went on my birthday too... pretty sure it was 2011, but I was turning 22.

Saw them in 07, 08, and 09 and they were worse every time I saw them.

Then saw them in 2010 and left about halfway through the show I was so bored. Haven't seen them since and have no real interest in ever seeing them again.

7-8 min long elevator music songs with little to no improv was the impression I got from them

I do like the early 2000's space funk stuff though

And just to cover all the jam band bases here I do get the frick down to some Biscuits. Haven't seen them in a year or two though.

UM does very little for me, but I do have a few friends that swear by them. The metal-prog stuff just kind of bores me. If I wanted to listen and bang my head and shite to that I'd go see Yes or Tool or something.

I go jam band shows to noodle dance to crunchy tunes, brah.

If you go to festivals now you're going to see pretty lights and bassnectar at least once. Now we all understand that you don't like to venture away from your phish shows but most of us find it painful to be as close minded as you.

So you are saying you have seen Pretty Lights and Bassnectar but NOT Phish?

Your musical opinion is simply invalid

I'm saying it is simply impossible to avoid bassnectar and pretty lights if you go to festivals in this day and time.

Phish is pretty easily avoidable...... Thank fricking god for that small miracle

They played at our big spring fraternity party in 2009 and were all soooooo fricked up. Still played a decent show though from what I remember.
