Some modern hymns that I think will have a good bit of longevity and join some others (like In Christ Alone) in hymnals of the future...

Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me

Come Behold the Wonderous Mystery

Thank you for all responses in this thread. I have doubted my faith and worthiness lately. Music has helped me go through some serious doubt anxiety and self-esteem issues I have had since beginning of the month.

Hey brutha...chin up.

We're all being challenged. You're not alone. Jesus is with us. Always.

Here is a hymn that especially lifts me.

Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming & The Blessed Son of God

Below is the final scene and musical score depicting Galilee with Jesus instructing the Apostles to "Go, and preach the Gospel"

It has always moved me...

And the finale of King of Kings (movie, Jeffrey Hunter)

Awe-inspiring WATER SCENE, music, Ben Hur: "God,help me."

"Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." - John 4:13,

Brings me to tears every time I hear this one at Mass. Got me again tonight:

Be Not Afraid

"Amazing Grace" (especially at my Mom's funeral - her name was Grace").
