I still think Open your Eyes is one of the better songs of the 2000’s.

Great band. Though their first record might be considered some of their weakest.... it’s not an insult. I still know the words to every song on One Day Remains. I’ve yet to listen to the newest but if you want Alter Bridge at their best.... look up stuff from Blackbird and Fortress. Peak Alter Bridge is as good as any band out there.

Blackbird is their best album in my opinion, but they’re an awesome band both live and in studio

Their first album, maybe. They're super talented.

I never explored much of their stuff until very, very recently.

Whereas Creed had a relatively overproduced sound, Alter Bridge sounds more old school and "grungy" from a production standpoint. Kennedy is also more of a raspy, bluesy singer compared to Stapp (whose voice I do like, but his is a cleaner more generic rock/grunge vocal style).

What I've heard so far, I like. Not love, but like.

They are playing the Fillmore in New Orleans whenever shows are allowed to happen again.

frick man. That show needs to happen. Saint Asonia is opening for them.

In a 2 weeks span, lost AMity Affliction at HOB, AEW Dynamite, and Alter Bridge/Saint Asonia.

Not to downplay others plights. This is just the music board, and this coronavirus is some bullshite.

Really good. Mark Tremonti doesn't get enough credit and to me, he's one of the best in the business right now.

I like Tremonti's solo stuff more than Alter Bridge TBH.

Great band. Myles Kennedy has one of the best voices in rock

His vocal technique/singing style has changed drastically for the worse since the ODR/Blackbird era. It sounds too “nasally” now.

Still a great band. But I fret to think of how much better their catalogue would sound had Myles not tried to fix what was obviously not broken.

Overproduced?

I’d say the exact opposite honestly. Kurzweg and the guys always wanted to be able to replicate what they tracked in the studio live whereas Elvis is constantly adding effects and layering guitars that you can’t perform live unless you have a full backing orchestra. Ironically they decided to utilize one back in Europe a few years ago.
